When did the congress appropriates 4 billion for state defense?
When did the U.S. Navy start to protrol the North Atlantic to locate German submarines and send their locations to British military?
Month and year please.
By reason of you!!
After Nazi Germany invaded Poland in 1939 and In every way War II began, many scientists in the United States and the United Kingdom became anxious about what Germany might do with atomic technology. Albert Einstein in particular wrote several letters to Franklin Roosevelt urging him to verify the nuclear capability before the Germans. These letters, especially one called the Einstein-Szilárd epistle (written in August 1939, but not personally received by Roosevelt until October 1939), are considered to be telling in the acceleration of the project.

I found an apartment for tear online in a complex on roosevelt island in manhattan. It looks real nice but how is the neighborhood. If anyone lives there is it repository is there anything to do and how do you get to manhattan from there?
I have a lot of co workers who active there and they love it...The rent is lower than they were paying in Manhattan. There are a few restaurants (fewer than 5) on the island and I'm told they're not very kind-hearted and very expensive.
There are a few small grocery stores...again over-priced.
Most people take the tram to Manhattan but the tram will be universal out of service at some point this year for what is projected to be a 6 month overhaul.
The F train however, runs into Manhattan via Roosevelt Eyot and there is also a bus that goes there from "mainland" Queens.

thanks so much pplz :D btw are there any probity stores in that mall for teens?
I weigh you best bet would be to take the LIRR from Penn Station on the Main Line to Carle Place. It takes about 45mins for the spark off hallucinate. I'm not exactly sure where you'll be left off from the train, but the Roosevelt Field Mall is in Carle Place so you wont be far from it, you could try a cab from there, or asking someone unequivocally where the mall is and if its not far you can walk it.
LIRR schedule:

Roosevelt Competition has some good stores, heres the directory

My hide and I are thinking of moving to Roosevelt Island from Manhattan to save money. What is it like to live in Roosevelt Island? Is there a neighborhood idea? Do you think there are enough amenities?
A 2-br in Manhattan will cost us about $1000 more than on Roosevelt Island, so we're seriously considering it. We don't have a car, so that's not an issue. Scarcely wondering for people who have lived there, what are the pluses and minuses. Thanks!
You have a join of stores on Main Street (the ONLY street on Roosevelt Island) but the area in itself is kinda bland....it's not a BAD quarter mind you, but just blah-zay.
Plus, if you drive you HAVE to park your car in the garage since cars aren't allowed to commons anywhere else on the island....there's a red bus that takes you from garage to the subway/tramway.

I'd like to identify what the easiest and fastest way to the Roosevelt Field Mall is by LIRR/bus (from 42nd St? Or is there another stop?)
Can you please state how long it takes almost to get to each stop along the way (i.e. take the LIRR to ____, which should take ______. then take (some) bus to get to ____, which takes ____ min)
Thanks!
Also, are there any Joyce Leslie stores in Queens/Manhattan?
I don't discern how long it'll take, prob. about 45 - 1 hour.
There is a Joyce Leslie in Flushing and one in Ridgewood
