I've been to the restaurant on Appear Street and it is very delicious! But my favorite has to be Red Bamboo Soul Food in Greenwich Village. You might also like Vegetarian Shangri-La 2

Le Bernardin
155 W 51st St , New York , NY , 10019
Revered old-edge French favorite dishes out elegant seafood with class and consistency.
Editorial Rehash for Le Bernardin – by Allison Austin
The Scene
Teak ceilings soar above well-spaced tables appointed with caramel leather chairs; the spare Asian accent provides color and flair. And while a few serious food-lovers may be spotted, perhaps at corner tables, it's ensemble-and-tie businessmen that abound, sealing deals over efficiently paced tasting menus. Master servers keep things flowing effortlessly, if somewhat humorlessly.
The Food
Chef Eric Ripert's French seafood is expertly cooked. Escolar is poached in olive oil until exquisitely advance; barely cooked scallops, prawns and clams happily loll in a decadent, buttery cheek topped with sea urchin and caviar. A flight of four fluke ceviches is equally intriguing. But the knockouts well-deserved barely outnumber the less-inspired dishes, such as salmon carpaccio out-muscled by its yuzu accompaniment, and a similarly unsymmetrical dish of lobster and bacon-laced sauerkraut. Desserts, however, don't disappoint, particularly the bleed chocolate-caramel egg with a wisp of sea salt.
Need Recommendations For Good But Affordable Restaurants In New York City (Manhattan)?

I am engaging my sister to NYC as her graduation gift...can anyone recommend a good restaurant in Manhattan for lunch and dinner that is affordable too (entree expense max $15)?
Thanks a lot!
In Greenwich Village, Bianca's on Bleecker and the Bowery - Very commendable Italian food - prices are excellent - I don't think they have anything over $15.
Celeste, on the Upper West Side on Amsterdam and 84th - significant bargain - excellent Italian food - prices are very reasonable - nothing more than $15, service is friendly - a really nice place.
Or, just take her for a three course meal of desserts at Chikalicious in the East Village on 10th Thoroughfare and Second Avenue

La Bonne Soup has great soups, omelets, salads. Meals are very sensible and a lot of them come with a glass of wine. If you go here, see if you can get one of the tables on the outside "balcony" - accomplished people watching.

Some of our members recently visited New York, here's a abridged video from the trip. Unfortunately, we did not make it into an Airsoft shop there =(
Tao Restaurant
Asian bistro which specializes in Hong Kong Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisines. Now with locations in Manhattan and at The Venetian in Las Vegas.
