Where Can I Find The Cheapest Drink Specials In West Midtown, Manhattan?

I'm almost poor after paying up my rent, but its a holiday weekend and I want to go out! Where are the cheapest drink specials? Its Friday, 7pm so most on top of the world hours will probably be ending soon. I live in Greenwich Village, but I just moved here and I don't understand the place backwards and forth. Thanks!

It is a rental, I am unbiased droping off in midtown west.
What time is rush hour in manhattan?
Coming into Manhattan is no delinquent in the afternoon. Leaving Manhattan will be the problem if it around rush hour. However, in the summer, the city clears out. . .so there is much less transport & most people have left for the shore or upstate on Thursday. (Remember, Thursday is the new Friday in NYC!)

Myself and a few friends will be in New York for New Years Eve and we honestly can't decide where to go. We don't want to be standing in Times Square or Central Park and we don't really wish for to do a cruise.
Ideally we would like a good pub that will have a good atmosphere about it. If possible we'd like somewhere we can get a ticket for dinner and then postponement on and party.

Well, there's in effect not much at ALL, way, way, way over at 11th Ave. and 58th Street, but Midtown West is a shopper's delight, full of all kinds of stores from high-end designers to crappy souvenir shops, it's all there.
