Can I Ride The X10, X27, Or X28 Express Bus From Downtown To Midtown Manhattan? |
I identify that the X25 and X90 are Manhattan only, but they wont take me where I need to go, or at the right time (limited schedule) (Must ride in early afternoon.)
So, the map says I can take the X10(C) which comes from Staten Isle, or the X27/X28 routes which come from Brooklyn
I know the BM1/2/3/4 routes say Manhattan PM stops are "Drop Off Only", as do the "BXM" and "QM" routes BUT the brochures for the "X" routes never say "End off or pick up only"
***So, can I ride the X10(C) X27 or X28 from Downtown Manhattan to Midtown? :)
Excluding BxM18, X25, X90, you cannot trip the express bus within Manhattan.
Only BxM18, you could ride between Downtown Manhattan and Madison/5th Avs-26th St.
It is same reason for all express buses including Bee-Strand BxM4C coming outside of Manhattan except for X25 and X90.

Inbound to Manhattan; Pickup in Staten Island, drop-off in their Manhattan avenues.
Outbound: Pickup only in Manhattan and Repudiate-Off Only in Staten Island and Brooklyn.
Brooklyn/Queens/Bronx/Westchester County
Inbound: Pickup only in their boroughs, Westchester Cunty BxM4C and Fire-Off Only in Manhattan.
Outbound: Pickup only and drop-off in their boroughs and Westchester County BxM4C.
Excluding X25/X90,
Only BxM18 which is PM Rush Hour only pickup in Discount Manhattan and Drop-Off at Madison Av/26th St.
Starting April 13th, Monday, other new Drop-Off and pickup are TRANSFER ONLY TO OTHER EXPESS BUSES.
