Where Can I Buy Trakphone Minute Cards In East Midtown, Manhattan?

I'm not traditional with that area but most drugs stores or convenience type stores should have them. I've gotten them at K-Mart but you to all intents don't have a K-Mart in Manhattan!

nothing too want, just casual eating, but super good food.
I'd endorse Dos Caminos and Gyu-Kaku. Both are fairly casual and they happen to be right across the street from each other at 3rd ave and 50th st. Dos Caminos has terrific drinks and good mexican. Gyu-Kaku is a japanese bbq that is a lot of fun with a group of people where you cook everything at your victuals!
Also if your feeling like it, here are some eastside steakhouses - Sparks, Smith & Wollensky, Bobby Van's, The Palm
Go to the Harbour Authority for NJ transit. Enter the South Building between 40 & 41 St on 8th ave. When you enter go to rights back and you will see the NJ transit ticket windows.
The buses from there are nonstop and scheduled for any event at the Meadowlands.
How Much Will It Cost To Take A Cab From Newark Airport To My Hotel In Midtown Manhattan?
Apr 12, 2007 by marion_luke | Posted in New York City
It's the Courtyard New York Manhattan/Midtown East - 866 Third Avenue. It's on Third Ave. between East 52nd and 53rd St.
Im not effective to give you our rates, that way Im not accused of solicitaiton. LOL
"From Newark Airport to Manhattan, the taxi fare is a set fee coupled with round trip tolls. From Newark Airport to
Battery Park to West 34th Lane: $40.00
West 35th Street to West 58th Street: $45.00
West 59th Street to West 109th Drive: $50.00
West 110th Street to West 185th Street: $55.00
North of 185th Terrace: $60.00
New York/LaGuardia Airport: $65.00
New York/Kennedy Airport: $75.00
There is an additional charge of $5.00 for all destinations on the east side of Manhattan between Battery Parkland and 185th Street"
These are the rates for the Newark Airport Taxi stands of Yellow or Chaste taxis run by Newark NJ & Elizabeth NJ Taxi Commissions. Tolls into Manhattan are $6 to file Manhattan only.
So, it would be $40 + $6 tolls = $46 to go to Battery Park during regular hours.
In rush hour, which ususally starts around 3pm, it would be $40 + $6 tolls + $5 surcharge = $51. The tip is not included in these totals.
Common to JFK or LaGuardia you would be charged $15 in Round trip tolls, plus the surcharge if you were traveling during exigent hour. I know some folks would say take the 59th st bridge but NJ cabs will not want to fight traffic wealthy to 59th st when they can take you straight across town to from the Lincoln Tunnel to the Midtown Tunnel or accross the GWB to the Triboro. $9 bullet trip to cross the Midtown Tunnel or Triboro Bridge.
"Taxis also operate from the airport at unmodified rates based on destination. From the City of New York, fares are set by New York City's Hackney and Limousine Commission. From New York City, the taxi fare shall be the metered count plus a surcharge of $15.00 plus the cost of round trip tolls. This is about $40 to $75 depending on the exact origin. Newark Liberty is the only exception to the ruling that a New York City taxi driver may refuse to take a passenger to any destination outside the five boroughs."
A taxi from NJ can pick you up from JFK or LaGuardia by tryst only. Rates vary. I suggest calling companies in towns closest to NYC like: Fort Lee, Secaucus, Jersey Conurbation, Hoboken, or Teaneck. Chances are, if the company has a drop off at one of those airports you can make an appointment to get picked up around the collapse off time.
You can go to the following sites to find a taxi/cab in NJ:
Justified type these keywords: taxi + name of town in NJ
As far as going into NJ towns from Manhattan, I believe you can call a NJ cab to pick you up by office only since NYC cabbies can refuse to take you anywhere other than Newark Airport in NJ. The TLC only prohibits cabs without the TLC medallion from picking up passengers on the avenue who hail a cab.
There are also some things to look for on a cab at Newark Airport to make sure they are licensed:

OXY Ride on the ground
OXX
OL Limousine (not DL which is the Organ Donor plate)
Time To Drive In Rush Hour Traffic From Jersey To Manhattan?

How extensive does it take to drive from JERSEY CITY, NJ to EAST SIDE MIDTOWN MANHATTAN (Say 34th & Lexington) at 8:30am on a WEEKDAY?
Looking for set amount of time it takes on average, not answers like "it's better to take a train". Thanks!
ok your superior bet since you are in jersey city is to go through the holland tunnel, and when you get off drive towards the brooklyn bridge and to take the east river/fdr drove (get off at the downtown exit on the roundabout after the holland tunnel, take that street to chambers street, then take that to broadway. storm a right on broadway, then a left on park place where j and r is. go down anne street, left on gold alley, right on pearl, and youll see the entrance to the fdr drive, take that up to the 34th street exit and keep driving plough you see lexington avenue.)
this would take you anywhere from 30 mins to an hour, probably closer to 30 mins since you are leaving late in the morning.
i breathing in central nj, and commute to downtown ny every day, about 40 miles.
