I Need A Sublet In Manhattan For July-how Do I Start?

I've checked craigslist and have found some things. Is it tenable o do this for under 800? I think I found something I like but have to contact them but was wondering what other peoples experiences were.

I'd go to craigslist like you've done and also would confirmation with some of the local colleges like NYU(in the student union) to see if there are any sublet postings for the summer.
Another good originator in NYC is the Villiage voice which is a free weekly paper.
For under 800 will be tough in Manhattan prime. But, this will depend on where in Manhattan you would like to palpable. Uptown Manhattan will be easier to find a roommate sublet for under 800 vs Villiage.
In any event, after living in NYC for about 10 years, I'd go for a intelligible roommate share in someone apartment. You will find that you spend very little time(only to sleep and get changed) in your apartment and will typically be out.

I could sublet a few rooms and contemporary in part of the house? I might even be able to live for cheaper than I am now if I get enough roommates? What are the flaws here?
If you sublet, there is always the capacity, of people not paying, people distroying property, etc, but there are also the pros....Extra wealth, company around! Many people chance this everyday. So good luck!!! th
i am planning on staying in NYC for about a pair of months and i want to stay in the best area. money is no object. i already know everything is valuable there.
upland east side... park ...madison..and fifth avenues...from 60th to 86th street.
rentals are about $5,000. a month and up...for this neighbourhood.

My mom does not fantasize it's a great idea. I wanted to rent out my apartment and then move into a similar priced apartment in prime Manhattan (I live in a far upper corner of Manhattan). Do you think that it's hard to rent out apartments? Will the tenants not pay?
May not be allowed by your let out, Most landlords, esp in upscale neighborhoods want control of who moves into their buildings. You don't have their experience, so discredit they would allow you to do this.

I distress a place to stay from July to mid September, I guess I need to sublet or live with a roommate. I have tried craigslist and the people on there only seem interested in scamming you. my budget is 1500 / month excluding utilities. Can someone particular me to a good resource in finding somewhere to stay? Thank You
if there are any sites where you do not have to pay a large amount of money to hold outdated listings, that would be welcomed as well.
Veronica, You should keep difficult craigslist. Just keep being careful of the scammers. Eventually you will find what you are looking for, Maybe narrow your search to the upland east side or murray hill or maybe up by columbia or alphabet city. They are the less expensive and fun to dwell areas. You could also check out the financial district but there tends to be less nightlife there. You might not be disappointed with park slant in brooklyn or brooklyn heights and you might find some good options.
