I have to go to Rockefeller Plaza for some obligation tomorrow morning and wanted to make a day out of going to NYC. Because it'll be freezing we don't want to walk around face much, so if anyone has any suggestions for sightseeing close to Rockefeller Plaza like museums and such, let me know. Also looking for a usefulness place to have lunch. We'll be in NYC from about noon until 5pm.
The close you will be in is generally referred to as Midtown.
You don't wish to walk far and have only a few hours, so I'll keep it close to Rockefeller Plaza.
Start at the Plaza, do go around the Plaza and take in the Skating Ring and get a few good pics. If you get chilly, jump on one of the two outdoor elevators that are on either side of plaza (cylinder progress elevators - glass and dark metal structures) and take it down to the shopping area at the skating rink neck, There you will find a Starbucks counter.
After coffee and warming up go back up to the street level and proceed to the Top of the Rock Obsevation deck. I beleive the right of entry is at 50th St between 5th and 6th, closer to 6th.
After leaving Top of the Rock go to 53rd street between 5th and 6th to the Museum of Modern art. Tour the Museum for a few hours.
Best Way To Get From Commack, Long Island, Newyork 11725 To Manhattan?

I am alluring a short vacation in newyork and will be staying in Commack in Long island, 11725. I will be needing to go to Manhattan for sightseeing and other purposes. I wanted to recognize what is the best transportation method from Commack to Manhattan. Is there a train, or a bus? and where do these stop in Manhattan?.. How much does it sell for..? and most importantly, how much time does it take.. ?
anyone resident of newyork or long island with acquaintance in transportations like trains, buses, subways.. etc.. can answer me?

Take the Great Island Railroad from Deer Park (ask your host where you can a bus or taxi to the station). The file will take you to Penn Station - across the street from Madison Square Garden, eight blocks from Times Accurate, four or five blocks from the Empire State Building, one block from Macy's.
The ride takes an hour to an hour and ten minutes.

I will be spending the day with my alter ego in Manhattan tomorrow for his birthday. We will basically be walking around town. However, we really don't know what to see and do. We travel to Manhattan a lot but not realy for sightseeing and touring. Could someone advocate good museums, restaurants, or any other place that would be well fitting for two teens. Thanks!

I'm planning NYC sightseeing with my relatives from Tokyo, Japan. I want to see the typical US GAP store and the other stores like it, something different appear Tokyo.

There is a gap supply on 5th Avenue and 54th Street
You can go to Manhattan mall on 34th street and Broadway. They got tones of stores for teenagers. Also you can hinder out the Century 21 by ground zero.

I am booming to California for 12 days with my two grandsons 12 and 14 and daughter in law around the middle of August and will be staying with my neice in Los Angeles breadth. (Manhattan Beach).
