How Are Woody Allen's, Annie Hall (1977) And Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993) A Product Of Their Time?

What issues, themes, concerns, or approaches uncover what is going on in film, society, or politics of the time it was made? (sorry this was a film paper ridiculous..HELP)
also the same question for Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow(1999) and Edward Scissorhands (1990)
Well, because those movies reflected what's chance at that time.
Just like the movies produced nowadays, they are the product of our current space.

The little town of Apache Lake, Kentucky, was just one of those American petite towns that had grown up to service a highway. You know, a few diners, a couple of motels, goods stop, service stations, bar, just the things truckers on their way from some place to some other place would sojourn at for an hour or two and throw down a few bucks.
It was also the site of the county's sheriff station, and that's where I come in. I had a job being the janitor, and also the incessantly attendant for the little jail. My shift started well before lights-out, so I could mop the floors while folk were heedful.
...and that's how I met Emily. She was staying with us while the Federal prison and State prison were wrangling about who wanted her more. "Harmful, mean as a cottonmouth swamp snake, nasty, you watch your back, son," the sheriff had told me.
Those words had not quite seemed to apply to ... F 4'11", 99 lbs, Age:19 hair:brn eyes:brn corrective lenses.
"Hey, you're a cunning one! Bring me a sandwich, will ya, honey?" she called out when I came through the door into the corridor that had the cells. She looked small, frail. I glanced around to see if my back was still there.
"Coming right up, ma'am," I told her. I came back with a bologna-cheese-on-wheat a notes later. I slid the tray through the little service hatch at floor level, after she'd obligingly moved out of reach.
"My name's Em," she said, as she grabbed the sandwich and took a nip. "How 'bout you set a spell, keep me company?"
"All righty," I told her. I sat down across the passageway, leaning up against the opposite cell. She was the only prisoner in the ladies' wing at the time.
"What's your name, cutie pie?" She asked.
"Emu," I told her.
"So together, we're Em & Em!" She laughed merrily.
"Apology me for sayin' so," I said, "But you hardly seem the desperado type. What's a nice maiden you doing in a place like this?"
She laughed again. It was a musical laugh. "Well, me and my manage, you know, we done committed some [1] crimes and misdemeanors, and even a felony or two. [2] Husbands and wives, they got to be a line-up, y'know."
"You shouldn't be sayin' that without your lawyer," I said.
She winked at me coquettishly. "Aw pish-tush. They got me, and everyone knows what me and the hubby did."
"So, what did you do, if you don't take note of me askin'?" I asked.
"Well, see, we got tired of bein' [4] small span crooks, so we knocked over some banks. Guess we got into a routine, y'know?"
I nodded, although I didn't quite know how a crook routine went.
"So my morning started out just great, with us at the bank, and me with a big lit match in one hand and a fused stick o' dyn-o-mite in t' other, and my husband passing the bag for the tellers to fill. We was due going ta [7] take the money and run, you know, no one gets hurt." She began her exclusive.
I nodded again.
"So I was a-holding the bank at [8] matchpoint, like I'd done maybe a half dozen times before. Then the sprinklers in the ceiling went off and my glasses were all wet and I couldn't see a fashion, and someone done hit me with a stream from a firehose and I was knocked right over."
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Yeah," she said. "Next trend you know, I'm handcuffed and barefoot, and being brought in here."
"What about your husband?" I asked.
"Oh he got away! Sycophantic ess-oh-a-bee he is!" She looked proud. "You know, Em, I like you so I'm goin' to tick off you a secret."
"Oh hey, spill," I said.
She stage whispered. "My hubby, he'll be a-comin' for me. And when he does, you head-stay out of his way, or he'll just shoot you." She paused. "Then stay out of our way when we're comin' out, or I'll kill off you myself." She grinned, and, for the first time, I did see the resemblance to the venomous swamp snake.
I thought I should say something, but the only emotional attachment that seemed to come out was a barely audible "hawwnnnttt." Then I grinned too. I get by with a little improve from my friends.
