My Mom And I Are In Desperate Need Of A Nice But Decently Priced Hotel In Manhattan?
Oct 13, 2008 by theboyslover | Posted in New York City
for 2 days. we've tried all the hotel coupled deal sites and compared them to the room rates on the actual hotel website and we're really not getting a adroit deal. whats the best way to go about getting reasonably priced hotels in manhattan? should we 86 the roam websites and go through a travel agency?
Cassie suggested methodically what I was going to. call the hotels directly and speak to an agent and see if they can help you directly. If you belong to any associations they might be proficient to discount or if it is an off time, they might be able to discount. Don't call the 800 numbers for chains, try to get the direct calculate for the hotel in Manhattan.
edit: I just remembered... call the Hotel Larchmont. It is in Greenwich Village. Very decently priced but books lickety-split.. Only downside, is depending on the room you may have to share a common bathroom but if that doesn't bewilder you (can't remember if they have private bathrooms too) than this is a great option.

hey is there anyone out there that if possible works for a hotel chain or knows someone that does that can help me get a good rate/deal on a hotel in Manhattan, NY, USA. I am traveling there with my hubby and another brace, we need 2 rooms and we are traveling Sept. 13-18...we are only finding really expensive like $350 a evening minimum..I tried all the online hotel sites, hotel.com, orbitz, priceline..etc... PLEASE HELP IF U CAN.. THANKS.. NOT ASKING FOR A Unbosom ROOM JUST A DECENT RATE... we are actually looking to stay south of Prime Park...
thanks
i always use craigslist vacation rentals--you get a much best rate 'cause your dealing with actually people and not a hotel chain--they'll work with you more...often entire apartment units are at one's fingertips for cheaper then a small hotel room

Effective to New York for a weekend with hubby but we're far from wealthy. We want to stay in Manhattan at a pretty good hotel, depollute, with good facilities (gym important, pool preferably). What hotel has the best deal?
the hilton millenium over looking justification zero is about 200-300 a night, but its very nice, they have a gym, spa and an in door pool...all their facilities are free....anything cheaper im reliable ull be disappointed

We went to NYC a few months ago and we stayed at the First Western President Hotel right by Times Square. Great rates and awesome tracking down!!!! Alot of the reviews say this place is horrible but I can say from personal experience that this was a great in the right to stay if you want to do the touristy things! Hope this helps you out a bit!
