How Can I Found An Apartment To Rent In Manhattan Without Paying A Broker Fee?
Jun 07, 2007 by Mike W | Posted in Renting & Real Estate
When I search on craigslist it seems to be that everyone is a dealer or trying to charge a fee.
If you already vigorous in the City (or real close) you've got a chance...if your relocating from outside the area...I got be honest...it's a hanker shot. It's hard EVEN W/ A BROKER!!!
If you're in the City...you gotta network like crazy...ask everyone you identify, put your own ad on CL, put posters up in coffee shops, pizza places, etc. Also look in places other the CL...try the Voice, the Chore, the Times, the Daily News...
If you're relocating you may want to consider a roommate situation (where they already have the apartment) until you get settled and can find your own hit pay dirt.
Lastly don't be afraid to work w/ a broker...ask questions...look at some rentals...learn what you can. Some brokers will admit for a bit of negotiation regarding their fees... this will only work if you make good money (150+K) ...have a well-substantiated rental history and impeccable credit...in other words...if you don't need a broker.
It's worth every bit of pains you will put into it...NYC's the place to be!! Happy Hunting!!

i endure in long island i planned to visit manhattan museums ,Time square,Central estate ...so can any one say some low fee parking garage near manhattan
http://nyc.bestparking.com/ has a attentive map of different public garages and their daily parking rates.
I'd suggest that you save yourself the hassle, and take the LIRR (Yearn Island Rail Road) into the city and get a 1-Day unlimited Metrocard to take the subway or bus. Walking is also a charitable option in the city, too.

Buy tickets online for a mark-down, and you may even get a better discount for some of the attractions you're looking for by getting a Getaway Package from the MTA: http://www.mta.info/lirr/getaways/Manhat tan/

I Am Selling My Apt In Manhattan, Is The 6% Broker Fee Negotiable?
Aug 14, 2006 by BMB | Posted in Renting & Real Estate
And if the fee is negotiable, what is the maximum effort way to negotiate with the broker?
Being in the RE work all fees are negotiable. However you have to find an agent willing to negotiate with you...
On the other hand you might get better service from your intermediary if you settle on a higher fee and list with a Reasonable price not a Pie in the Sky type price then beating the legate down...
Otherwise you could be Just wasting your and your agents time...
But there is lots of competition out there and i'm sure you can find some New or desperate substitute willing to bow to your every wish...
