From Your Experiance, Cheapest And Fastest Way To Travel To A Job At JFK Airport From Edison NJ?

Outerbridge Crossing or Goethals Bond east bound at 5:30 am & 4pm? From what I understand I can take the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge free active east bound to JFK but I want to avoid that $9 toll back so 4pm Holland or Lincoln Subway and what do I take going into Manhattan to start with? Google estimates 1 hour to JFK and taking the long way back around 1 hour 30 minutes, so what will the natural deal be with these times? Thank you! Anyone doing ride share?
On letterhead it's a nice idea ,on the ground however it's an incredibly bad idea.
I think if you use Outerbridge and you adjust your culture a little you can make from Edison to JFK in under an hour. The slow traffic is going across Staten Island . Once you get over the Link and go east on the Belt you will be going against the flow of traffic.
If you leave JFK at 4:00 pm there is no way at all that you could possibly go for Edison NJ in under 2 hours using any of the East River crossings and then any of the Hudson River crossings. The meat of the problem is this: The routing you described requires you to cross Manhattan at rush hour .Even if you are experienced as I am in driving and navigating NYC above, you would have a great deal of difficulty getting from the Brooklyn side of the Williamsburg Bridge to the NJ side of the Holland Excavate in anything less than an hour.
I didn't even factor in how long it might take you to get from JFK to the Brooklyn/Manhattan/ Williamsburg Bridges
So bite the bullet , buy an EZ-Dated and use The VZ bridge
If I Get A 1 BR Apt In Manhattan, How Much Utilities I Have To Pay?
Jul 23, 2008 by randy.smith16 | Posted in Renting & Real Estate
What are the name of the places I can call to have my utilities turned on. The only stead I heard of is Con Edison Electric & Gas but how much is water, cable/internet, heat/AC, phone, gas, electric, etc. Please staff.
When you find an apt. limitation with the super. Heat & Water are included in rent. Con Ed provides the electric and gas for cooking. Buzz, cable and internet is what ever company you wish to deal with. AC you buy and install if the building code permits one.

I material in Manhattan, but rather new to the town. I'd like to visit Edison National Historic Site, New Jersy.
Could someone give me directions on how to get there by societal transportation ? I checked with the NJ transit buses, they said the buseses are not running anymore and I got to take a indoctrinate.
I dont have a car, so i can only take a train and public transportations. Any help would be appreciated.
i went to nps and the edision neighbourhood is http://www.nps.gov/edis/planyourvisit/di rections.htm
the page says take nj transit bus #21
here's the #21 scheldule at nj transport website.
http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/T0021.p df
so I look at the schedule, and i noticed the #71 and #79 stopping there too.....
(here's the #71 bus sched) http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/T0071.p df
gimme a few min to give you directions
ok.... here is the setting of the front entrance on google maps
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e n&geocode=&but=&date=&t type=&q=lakeside+ave,+West+Orange,+N J&sll=40.769882,-74.2202&sspn=0. 062793,0.123081&ie=UTF8&ll=40.77 8332,-74.230499&spn=0.015696,0.03077 &z=15&om=1
intimation the green arrow, go one block down to park ave, park ave is the front gate to Edison's estate.
notice the teach icon on the bottom of the page, at route 280, around scotland road and main st. that's the nj transit railroad jam up for Orange.
so... where does the #21, #71, and #79 bus stop? it appears to be the corner of line st, mt pleasant ave, white st on that google map.
and where can you get the #21 bus? you can get the bus from newark penn station.
basically... from manhattan, take a Way train,
(here is where to find the path subway in manhattan)
http://www.panynj.gov/CommutingTravel/pa th/html/map.html
pay $1.50 and get to newark penn position. at newark penn station, walk downstairs and find the #21 nj transit bus. ask the driver how much is the diet to west orange. and tell him you want to get off there.
so what about the #71 and #79 bus? #71 bus also goes there from newark penn instal, you can take either the #21, or the #71 bus there, don't take the #79 bus because it's express and limited service.
.....and what about the railroad? if you want to get there without delay instead of taking a bunch of subway and bus, just go to new york penn station, and take a staff to orange. use this schedul to find out the time. it costs $5 and train takes 30min direct, or 40 min with a remove
http://www.njtransit.com/sf/sf_servlet.s rv?hdnPageAction=TrainSchedulesTo
once you get to orange, you have to walk 1/2 mile from the train spot to the site..... print out the map and keep it with you or else you may get lost in not so familar surroundings.
