Do I Have To Change Shoes Between Walking And Dining In Manhattan?
Dec 17, 2007 by The Bull | Posted in New York City
I am traveling to New York for one evening for effort, and my colleague has made dinner reservations in Manhattan (I'm not sure where though). My Good friend says that I should wear complacent walking shoes (since we will be doing a lot of walking too) and then change into heels for the restaurant. She has never been to Manhattan and gets all of her proficiency from "Sex and the City." I need to know a real answer. Please, if you are going to give a queer or goofy answer, make sure it is really funny, otherwise just answer joking. Thanks!
Attrition what ever shoes you have that will be fine for day and evening, don't worry about carrying another pair of shoes in your bag, that's silly. if you select a nice comfortable 2 1/2inch heel, you should be fine.
If you are staying at an hotel and have metre to change for dinner then that's a different story. you can take along your best heels and change before dinner.
If you are well dressed during the day and your boss expects you to go true from work out to dinner, the shoes won't be an issue. And he'll probably NOT check out your shoes either.
Best Spot In Manhattan For Nightlife/shopping/dining Etc?

What is the A-one area in Manhattan to stay to be able to walk to the best nightlife, dining, bars & shopping? Soho, Tribeca, Higher East Side, Little Italy, Chinatown, Village West, Lower East Side or other?
Many thanks
Soho and The crux packing district for the more pricey stuff. East Village and Lower east side for fair to middling pricey food
My college order SPS, the Society of Physics Students, is visiting NYC for a few days in the Spring.
Any ideas on reasonably priced dining around Manhattan?
Thanks!

For All You New Yorkers Out There.. Any Ideas For Good Cheap Dining In Manhattan?

Self-indulgent & Delicious
Brazilian
48-19 Vernon Boulevard, Long Island City
718-729-9988
Restaurants with adjectives for names seldom live up to them: Fast & Delicious, though, delivers on both counts. The specialty of this spotless Brazilian takeout canteen is a top sirloin churrasco ($14.95) deftly carved from the discharge and finished on the charcoal grill. It’s six or seven good-sized slabs of beef, remarkably flavorful and gentle enough to cut with a plastic fork (though you get the deluxe steakhouse model if you dine in). Sautéed collard greens and wrathful beans and rice make fine accompaniments. And good rotisserie chicken ($7.50)—?arinated in Corona beer,” boasts the cook—not to upon Saturday’s feijoada ($12.95) are likewise swift and satisfying.
Another good one is
Brazil Grill
787 Eighth Ave.
at 48th In someone's bailiwick
New York, NY
212-307-9449
Brazilian cuisine, as diverse and passionate as the Brazilian people, incorporates seafood, fish, and chicken and puts a active emphasis on grilled fresh meats. A Brazilian cut of grilled sirloin comes to the record still sizzling in a cast iron skillet. Top it with fresh salsa or, if you dare, Brazil Grill’s hot speckle sauce. Churrascos, or skewers, hold marinated chicken, flank steak, thrilling sausage or succulent beef kebabs that have been grilled to perfection. Seared steak with red wine and calves’ liver with onions are some other chow choices. A separate churrascaria specializing in this particular cooking method will open next week on the disgrace level of the restaurant.
If you prefer fish and seafood, there are plenty of choices on the menu, as well as habitually specials. Bacalhau, or codfish, is cooked with onions, potatoes, olives and olive oil for a routine meal. Salmon in a yucca crust is served with vegetables and white wine cilantro brazenness. Shrimp sautéed in coconut milk is served in a coconut for a tropical treat. A Brazilian paelha combines shrimp, fish, mussels, scallops and clams over saffron rice.
Because of its position, Brazil Grill is a great pre-theater restaurant. They offer a special three-course, prixe-fixe menu for by a hair's breadth $24.95. First course choices are black bean soup, Brazilian salad or Caesar salad. Entrée choices classify feijoada, skewer of half chicken, beef shish kebab brochette or fettuccine with shrimp. Sweet choices include passion fruit mousse, creamy rice pudding or flan. That payment simply can’t be beat, and you’ll make it to your Broadway show in plenty of time. If you’re not going to the theater, reduce while you listen to soothing music and enjoy a leisurely meal. The service is friendly and productive and everyone on the wait staff smiles.
