I Want To Move To NY, Manhattan. Where Do I Start?

I'm 18 and occupation as an apprentice administrator for a construction company, this is NOT what i want to do in the long run! I want to be something successful enough to be well off in New York's, Manhattan. I have always felt distraught in anything I do, i want to be so many things, an interior designer, or a chef at one point but i still don't know what i want to be due something to do with IT. can any one help?

My boon companion, my advice, don't rent an apartment in Manhattan. Consider renting an apartment in the outer boroughs (i.e. Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Islet). You will find cheaper accommodation in the outer borough. Once you're successful, you can then move to Manhattan.

I hope this information is very helpful.

Business Forfeiture For Hiring Illegals?

Since the inundation of illegal immigrants into this country is driven by employment, doesn't it make sense to detach that as an incentive? How about if you get caught knowingly hiring an illegal alien for the second time, you mislay your business? I'd think that if you own 1000 acres in Napa, or the largest construction company in Texas, or a hotel in Manhattan, this would be a efficient incentive. We'll give the person who rats you out a cut, to reduce enforcement expenses. An illegal maid or gardener? Conquered your house. Hide them in your church? Ok, keep the church, but you lose your tax-exempt status forever. Does anyone about the flood will continue when we can say honestly, there's nothing for you here? Oh, for a first conviction? Just a real detailed description of what you noticeable to lose if you don't mend your ways....

Concur wholeheartedly. Having lived in California I can say I saw/professional firsthand the impact - both from a cheap labor force to the impact on the social systems. Sardonic.....seriously, where's the study that tracks the metrics of the illegals. It's not 'cheap labor' who are you kidding - for whom? pay for the be adjacent to patrols, interrogation, shipping them back, processing, ESL classes in school, learning disabilities; behavioral problems; supporting two languages albeit 'unofficially'. It's not 'shoddy labor' - it's tactical to think it's cheap. And if we do NOTHING, the tide will continue to grow. Dem or Rep - we necessity to crack down severely. There is a 'process' - it's not like there isn't a 'legal' way to come into the country. They at best don't want to 'wait' - well too bad. We can just 'sneak' into Hong Kong or 'sneak' into Switzerland. There is a legitimatize process...if that's what's broken let's fix the 'process' and not turn a blind eye. It doesn't work with raising kids and it certain doesn't work with illegals.

Please Help Me Find A Job In Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, New York New York Or Bronx Area?

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT I AM NOT LEXY. I'm a virtuousness friend of hers and she thought that Yahoo Answers could help me out.

I'm 19yrs old and very hard working. I would like to find a Full/Part Continuously job in my area. I have experience in Construction, Fast Food, and Security.

Please be advised that I don't have a High School Diploma or a GED. I'm in the alter of getting that now online. So I need a job that doesn't require any of these.

I'm available all shifts. I'm also looking for a job that pays $9+
not a precondition but that would be nice.

Any suggestions for a young man who willing to work hard for his money. Or any suggestions on fields I should get into.

Examples: Heart-rending Company, Warehouses, Packaging etc.
or any names of Companies that might be looking for a hard worker in my area.

Should I Stay Where I Am Or Move On?

I'm 24, a straight away to be MBA graduate (May of 09 I walk) and am on my 2nd job out of college. I worked 4 and a half years with one company all through my undergraduate which gave me heinous experience, worked for a marketing firm in NJ (where I live) and was there for a little less than a year (it just wasn't working out, but I did recuperate great experience and traveled some in my position). Now I'm with a construction firm in Manhattan and there is an excellent chance of getting laid off get the end of January of 2009. I really love the company and don't want to leave, but I know if there is an excellent time that I should start looking for a new job.

I guess what i'm really looking for here are opinions. If I get hired with a new company before the end of January, should I take the job plainly because I'm afraid of getting laid off from my current one? I would think (especially if the pay is more at the new places hiring me) that I should disclose the move regardless, but at the same time I am still on the young side and while 4 years at one company, 8-9 months at the next, and now 2 years at my current job isn't inevitably a bad thing, I don't want other employers to think that I can't hold onto a job for a long period of time. That is not at all my anyway a lest...I want a career badly and work very, very hard (as all my references would say!) However, the economy is on nobodies side claim now.

Am I just overly worried? Should I make the move if given the chance? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks.
I calling full time (Monday - Friday, up at the crack of dawn, etc.) and go to school (depending on when classes are offered) either at tenebrosity after work or some of them are accelerated Saturday morning courses that are 4 and a half hours long, and run for 7 weeks whole. I just finished up my 2nd to last one that was a Saturday course 3 weekends ago. All I have left is my capstone course which starts Tuesday nights at the end of January.

You are correct to be looking for options but you are also worrying yourself too much. You should always have a plan "B" but don't jump the gun by trying to right hand guess what may or may not happen.

You are young and will recover from whatever happens in our economy because you have time on your side. It was the young work men that came out of the depression and made their millions and with your education and drive you will be just fine.

Hang in there and don't tease about what "may" happen. Take it a day at a time and enjoy life a little while you are able to.

I am old now and I disquieted myself all through my life and I didn't have a chance to appreciate little things and I didn't even recognize my accomplishments because I was too busy worrying about what might encounter and what would I do and so forth.

It is good to be alert but also live in the day you are in and pat yourself on the back and enjoy what you have done and what you are doing also.

Your sound like you have gain judgement so go with your gut feelings and always move forward, never looking back at what might have been. The "if onlys" will drive you off one's trolley.
