Am Looking For Cheap, Hourly Accommodations In Manhattan?

It's not what you over... I travel into NYC on biz a lot, and oftentimes need a place to stay for a few hours, field my voicemails on my stall, or to catch a quick cat-nap between clients. Don't need to rent a room for a whole night; just stress one for 2-3 hours at a time. Not very concerned about quality of accomodations--I bring a sleeping bag...
Wow, shocked nobody sees fit to suit this question. I have a similar predicament in London, and I got nearly a dozen answers.
Wish I could lift you. Good luck getting help from the Yahoo community--most are a bunch of wise-asses with ten protect IDs.

Can anyone disbosom oneself me the best place to stay outside of Manhattan with quick transportation to Midtown? Really don't call for to spend over $200.00 a night. First time to NYC. Thanks
The cheapest motor hotel IN midtown, W42nd St. and 9th Ave, the Elk Hotel at 360W42. About $60 per night. Make sure you ask for a allowance with a bathroom, or you will get one without a bathroom and you'll have to use the shared one on your floor.
Otherwise, check out Long Island City, on Concavo-concave St. and 42nd Road is a Comfort Inn or something like that. It's pretty new, it was built in 2004, and I been in a room one night and it's reasonably nice. It's one block south of the Queensboro Plaza station (N/W, 7) and is one stop away from Manhattan on the N/W cover and 3 stops away on the 7 line.
Can You Recommend A Good Suite Hotel In Manhattan Priced Under $200 A Night?

I am visiting New York Town in July for 2 days but having difficulty finding a suitable hotel that fits my budget. I would like a mild hotel in mid-town or lower Manhattan. I prefer a suite (studio with king bed and kitchenette would be discriminating). Embassy Suites looks good but it is above my budget. I am a university lecturer from the UK and be amazed if one of the Manhattan universities might have accommodation for 2 nights for visiting scholars?
The Belvedere Breakfast in Times Square - spotlessly clean - excellent staff and every room has a coffee maker, microwave and fridge

Beekman Fortress near the UN - all suites - all have kitchenettes, reasonably priced.
Radio City Apartments - all-retinue hotel

Before you book any hotel, peruse what previous guests think about the hotel - look at the traveler photos and see if they would stay there again - the roomer's reviews are much more reliable than what the hotel advertises.

Check prices at hotels.com, priceline.com, travelocity.com, expedia.com and see if you can impediment a great rate for the times you need.
Have a wonderful visit!
Check with NYU and Columbia to see if they put up accomodations for visitors.
Which Area Is The Best Area To Live In Manhattan, New York City?

I’m an artist & I can see my approaching is in NY; I love to move there. I am alone and I can manage to live even in a studio apartment or share with somebody and I can pay up to $2700 a month. I went unelaborated http://newyork.craigslist.org/ and some other websites; I looked at so many apartments in Manhattan but could not find even 1 nice apartment, studio or even a compartment to share. By nice accommodation I mean somewhere, which is quite new (max 10 years old building) and honourable with out any pets or bad smell. As u know, Manhattan has so many different parts (except HARLEM) such as:
Battery Park
Chelsea
Downtown
East Village
Monetary District
Flatiron
Gramercy
Greenwich Village
Inwood / Wash Hts
Lower East Side
Midtown
Midtown East
Midtown West
Murray Hill)
Nolita
SoHo
TriBeCa
Cartel Square
Upper East Side
Upper West Side
West Village
Which area has more new buildings, less violation and nicer neighborhoods? Or how can I find a nice accommodation in Manhattan?
Tanx - Paris
If you can offer $2700 a month you can find something to rent just about anywhere. In NYC "pre-war" (meaning more than 65 years old) is considered a incontestable selling point because the apartments were larger. Most "new" construction are condominiums & most of those are on the topmost east side. But that's not where the art crowd lives. They are pretty much below 14th St. There's very little "new" construction there.
These shots were entranced during a mid night photo session through New York City one night last Fall. Luckily, I was expert to roam around unnoticed and have my way with this iconic New York City landmark. These shots are all post processed HDR photos. However, not having a tripod on...
