How Hard Would It Be To Make A Living In Manhattan?

I don't have much pro experience, I recently graduated college, just thinking about moving to Manhattan because I love it there, how tangled would it be to be prosperous living in that city?
I got a bachelors in music, but I no longer actively pursue music.
Hey im from Nyc. If your not born there. you will have a indeed hard time. i mean u need atleast a bachelors to live a semi so so life. You will probably end up on some type of government assistance. and if you do move to manhattan u will probably be in the less wealthy areas. even with a BA even a masters. My intimation is a roomate. I LOVE NY and Manhattan soooo much. Canal street is the best! and 42nd and 37th! Im happy for you though manhattan is beautiful. Well-grounded be prepared to struggle in the beginning. But once you settle in and adjust to the costs of NY living. you will have a wonderful experience in the Greatest municipality in the world. Once again though i suggest a roomate. those roomate sites are work. ive done it before and its pretty nice. Nice LUCK!

What are some of the clich jobs that people living comfortable in manhattan have? I want to know because I have dreams of moving to the city and I will do whatever it takes to get there and charged comfortable.
Is Quality Free Time To Socialize Possible While Living In Manhattan?

I'm in my unpunctual 20's and want to move to Manhattan, NY. Mostly for the social life there. Considering that the cost of living is so high, however, it seems that most of my free at all times (namely nights and weekends) would be spent working in order to make a salary high enough to make merry my life (around $60k).
So I'd love to know two things:
1. For anyone living in Manhattan now, how often do you actually get to go out per week and at what times?
2. What jobs in New York could you hint at that would get me around the $60k/yr paycheck yet still give me most nights and weekends free?
I'll be happy to hear from anyone, but I suppose those who explosive in Manhattan and make about that same amount would help me most. (I plan on living w/ a roommate and splitting a $2,100 rent)
I have the ilk of income and hours you crave, as a government lawyer. [I live in Brooklyn, where rental is significantly lower and there are plenty of excellent bars and restaurants; it's 20 minutes to Murray Hill if I ever umpire fix I need to relive the age of 22. ]

Its my conjure up to live in nyc specifically midtown manhattan and I have plans of going up there after i finish college to look for a job so i could spirited on my own there. Like what careers do you recommend to look into that are successfull up there and make enough to afford the nyc living?
Doctor, Bencher, ect... You have to be rich to live in manhattan.
To People Living In Manhattan: Who Has Never Experienced Crime There?

I advised of that Manhattan now is one of America's safest places. Yet still, crime happens there like almost all places; though relatively much less.
Has it been that some people living in Manhattan have never seasoned crime? This is really important. Please, when you answer, try stating which part of Manhattan do you live in?
I lived in Harlem for a year last year and never competent any crime (at least committed against me)
I now live in Washington Heights ( a little north of Harlem) and deem even safer. Once again, i have never experienced crime in my new neighborhood against me.
My point is that i either live or have lived in the two "roughest" manhattan neighborhoods and never had any discompose in all my time. The key is to remain aware not give the appearance of some one weak and easily manipulated.
Before living in Manhattan, i grew up in Queens, and even there, only had one to-do happen to me in 23 years and i let my guard down for a moment
