How Do I Get To Little Italy ( Manhattan NYC) From Greenich Connecticut, Via The Merritt Parkway South ?
Sep 16, 2007 by TINA | Posted in New York City
I am driving to San Gennaro's Please ,In Little Italy ,New York. I am coming from Connecticut. I know the best way is to take the Merritt Parkway South. The Merritt Parkway turns into the Hutchinson Parkway. When I reach Manhattan where to go from there? You may find this unbelieveable but, I for the most part find a parking spot in the street near Canal,Mulberry or Mott's.
If you are intriguing the Merritt/Hutchinson...
The Hutch turns into the Cross County...follow that to the Major Deegan (87) South.
check out the Major Deegan down to the Triboro Bridge, but follow the Bridge to Manhattan instead of continuing on to Prima donna. Once over the Bridge...take the FDR Drive South.. Get off at Delancey St for Little Italy...

Going To My First Yankee Game This Weekend. How Do I Get From The Stadium To Little Italy In South Manhattan?
Jul 15, 2008 by Charles B | Posted in New York City
I be versed there is a subway that is right outside the stadium. Can I purchase tickets there? If so which one do I take? How long does will the lurch take? Sorry for sounding like an ignorant tourist, this is my first trip to NY.
In actuality if you take the B or D (Orange Circle) from Yankee Stadium to Grand Street you won't have to transfer and might get to Little Italy a little faster -- 44 Minutes vs. at least 47 minutes using the 4 and 6. You hike east on Grant to Mott.
But you can just take which ever train shows up first, B, D or 4.
You have to by a metrocard at the subway install. You swipe this through card reader at the turnstyle. There will be machines at the station where you can buy single trip, day obsolescent, etc depending upon you many trips you think you will take on the subway during your stay.

its SOO crowded in the day interval there.. that you have nothing to worry about, other than having ur bag stolen, but if ur smart and hold onto it and consious about it, u will be fine. At night, the crowds dissapear, but by then the stores arise to close, so there is no reason to be there looking for trouble.
