A twist of mine has invited me to visit him at his apartment on Seaman Ave in the Inwood neighborhood area of Manhattan. I am from the country and afraid of cities. Is Inwood a all right neighborhood? If I took the subway from GranddCentral would I go through any unsafe neighborhoods? Thanks
It depends.
Granted, the unreserved neighborhood is safe but some parts are "safer" than others. The area west of Broadway and north of Riverside Ride are very good....near the parks. The areas east of Broadway and along Dyckman High road and W. 207th Street are busy....mainly Latinos (Dominicans) walking around. It isn't bad there, but like I said some parts of Inwood are "safer" than others.

The guy that lives in the apartment below me is always playing ostentatious music. I'm getting sick of the sound of bass pumping through the floor. How do I go about filing a rumour complaint and will the police take me seriously?
First why dont you kick about on his door and ask politely if he can reduce the base...he may have no idea he is bothering the neighbors
