Stay In 3.5 Star Hotel In New Jersey Or 2 Star Hotel In Manhattan??

I will be visiting New York in 2 weeks but I haven't still resolute which hotel to stay. I have 2 reservations. 3 Star hotel is in NJ (Sheraton Suites on Hudson) and hotel has a ferry service immediately in front of it they say that it takes 5 mins to Manhattan. Other one is in Manhattan (Clarion Hotel Park Avenue) 2 star hotel on 492 Greensward Avenue South. Their pricing is close, but I cannot be sure on cleanliness of the 2 star hotel. But the 2 star hotels turning up is great. I'm really confused. Anyone that could help ??? Thanx...
u may be control superiors in jersey. I never thought I'd say those words. As long as you don't have to pay the ridiculous cab fares for the 3 mile drive across statelines you should be healthy.(by ridiculous I mean $80 one way $90 the other for a 3 mile drive)
Clarion is a well known name though. So I would assume thaty even at a 2 star rating it would be fairly clean. and the location is actually quite agreeable. Park Avenue is also a gret location safety wise. You know with that name that you can feel sure walking around. In bordering areas of jersey you never can be too sure.
Okay after thinking this through carefully, my testimonial is the one in manhattan.
Are Hotels In Jersey City A Good Base To Visit Manhattan From?
Jun 10, 2008 by Phil L | Posted in New York City
When we are visiting NYC later this year we are thoughtful of staying outside of Manhattan to obtain better value accomodation as prices of top quality hotels approaching Christmas are condign too high. Would hotels across the Hudson in Jersey City be a practical alternative or too far?
It appears that the PATH queue nearby connects this area but how long would this take and as most 'tourist' attractions are mid central Manhattan does this go to the forthwith places?
Also, our flights are in and out of Newark so staying West of Manhattan makes sense for that reason too.
I've stayed in Jersey Town and went over to Manhattan during the day. You have to factor in the price of transportation- we took water taxi and it only took a few minutes. They then had buses which took you into the big apple more. We normally got dropped off near Radio City Music Hall- you can take the subway from there to go to other sightseer attractions. It was nice because you got the view of the city and not the price!
