I'm hankering. It's late. It's raining. Who am I gonna call? Other than Ghostbusters, naturally. Any food works, as long as it's hot and delivered to my erection.
Light e Chocolato on Waverly and Mercer delivers late - after midnight, but I don't know if they deliver around the clock.

Another of the story characters lives in Manhattan, they want to visit each other, and I hunger to know if the distance from Manhattan to Greenwich Village is far. Thank you very much, those who have answered. I may even reward the person who honestly states that he/she does not plea. I do like honest people and I would like to see if someone has a very specific, informative little answer.

I am impressive to NYC and I am researching different areas. What is the difference between the two? Which one would you rather live? Which is more affordable. Can I find a 1 br there for about $1750?
Greenwich Village is the NYU range and west, East Village is east of that.
Not tremendously different. The west side of the Village has a slightly older jam, more brownstones mixed in with the apartment buildings, and a few relatively quiet streets when you get over toward the Hudson River. The East Village is more crowded, with more of a college-superannuated party scene. The artsy bohemian vibe of the East Village is much weaker than it was 20 years ago. Similarly, there's a gay persuade in the West Village, but it has been greatly diluted.
I doubt you can find a livable 1br for that price anywhere in the Village, but check Craigslist and see what you can do.
