My still works for The New York City Housing Authority for 8 years and its about time he finds a new job. Hes booming through so much working there for disgusting people that live in the projects for little pay. Picking up shit in the staircase and urine in the elevator, its getting to be too much. He would positively love to work for a cleaning service that cleans overnight in the sky rises in lower Manhattan. If you have any suggestions as to how he can apply please believe free to let us know.. Thanks
How Much Does A Store Front Window Cleaning Buisness In Manhattan Make?

i am prospering to be going to shcool in new york in september and i need a good way to make cash readies(off the books) I was thinking about handing out buisness cards and flyers, going from business to buisness and starting starting a window storefront cleaning coterie. Liek lets say make them a cheap offer, 15 bucks a week/ i be in print 3x a week. i noticed thats alot cheaper than any other services. If anyone knows about this stuff please let me conscious.
most stores pay around fifty cents a window face and around a dollar for the inside pane. That's it, no monthly nada paid in advance or billed. It's when you're done that day you get paid in lolly or trade. You can trade for food and gas (at some places) that is like an income in and of itself. and most places maybe get it done once a week in winter and 2 X a week in summer.
I'm planning a voyage to NYC with 1 friend in april and would like your best inexpensive Manhattan hotel. We're 2 savvy ladies, old 30's and outgrown nightclubs but we likes the cool bar scene & salsa dancing. Amenities we like: select customer service, safe, clean, and not too small, and modern decor preferred. If close to salsa belabor a + (feel free to shoot me any of your salsa club recommendations too ;o)). This would be our 2nd tumble to NYC.
manhattan and economical dont go too well together in the same sentence. i too am ealy 30 and have been three times already. We liked the sheraton at times right and proper--right between times square and central park, another time we stayed at a radisson breakfast bout two blocks west of rockefeller center--VERY VERY BAD! if u get the sheraton early enough the better bounty try to fly in la guardia NOT JFK, save you 25 bucks right there on taxi ride!!
Does Anyone Have Any Info Regarding The L.I.E. And Comuting To Manhattan?

I have matter in NYC coming up soon and cannot afford to stay in Manhattan hotels! I recently stayed in Valley Burn and noticed the L.I.E. had terminals every few miles on the sunrise highway. Do these go directly to Penn Station and what type of time element are we talking from the Rockville Center/Valley Stream area to Manhattan?
Also, are there be like service in other areas of LI where I could do the same thing that offer reasonable hotel rates? I prefer Hamton Inns or hotels of that breeding but am open to anything clean and reasonable!

I'm looking to keep the commute eliminating so that is why I considered Valley Stream but Massapequa or anything reasonable would be acceptable-north-central south! Nothing too far east!-Thanks again!
There are LIRR stations all over Desire Island. I've attached the link to the schedules. As for hotels, I've attached a link for those as well. Plainview and Hicksville are your kindest bets with Hicksville being on the main line. Trains run 24/7 though after 10 PM are most likely hourly. The stations and the trains are as risk-free as can be. I've been commuting from Huntington to Penn Station since 1979 (pity me!) and have never had a problem other than a surly conductor. Hey, it's the Big Burg and you have to be smart. Buy your ticket a t a machine or window to avoid paying an extra fee for on board obtaining.
To add: If you're disabled you need a station with easy access. Hicksville and Huntington have elevators and there are taxis there at all hours if you have need of one.

Appropriate Christmas tip for doormen in Manhattan rental building?
I was wondering how much is customary to tip the building pike at Christmas. I live in a full service, hi-rise building with the staff of 15 (doormen/concierge, porters, maintaining guys). My rent is $1,500 (it's a corporate apt, my employer pays 50% of the rent). Spot: West 40ies. The buidling: 45 floors/12 apts per floor
Although it's listed as a Treat hi-rise the building is very mixed: there are wealthy CEOs and recent college grads sharing humiliated 1 or 2brs.
It will be my first Chrismas here ( i moved in Feb'08). The staff is very friendly (except for 1 guy, each building has that 1 guy who is not a team player) I introduced myself when persuasive in and since then they all greet me by my name (of course except that 1 guy). I'm a very low maintenance tenant, they do accept my packages and dry cleaning every other week or so. Other than that I don't require much from them.
I was point of view $30-$40 each. Less to that 1 guy and more to the 3 doormen I like best. I assume if they collect small amounts from over 400 apartments they'll end up with a very becoming Chrismas bonus.
I know it's prime Manhattan so standards are high here. I don't want to be cheap but can't act like Oprah either. What do u guys judge devise?

I don't differentiate if you should play favorites. I would tip $35-40 to all 4 doormen.
