I am looking to bring on my older cat to a vet in the bronx or upper manhattan in nyc. the only thing is i am looking for a vet that offers a discount to either students or persons revieving clear-cut assistance. does anyone know of a vet in this area? thank you

My indoor cat escaped and when he returned he was injured... he could just walk. I want to take him to a vet but we are surviving on my small wage, and have no money for a vet. I am so worried. Does anyone grasp of free or token cost vet for cats?
The humane friendship has a program for that. They'll ask you your income and base your costs on that. If they tell you that you don't have to pay anything, you generally make a donation to them (it's anonymous) as contrasted with. As a college student with no income, they fixed my cat for free and I donated $35 because that was all I could afford to present.

I have a three month old Yorkie terrier named "Angel". She decent completed her shots but will need to be fixed in three months; her vet is located in Manhattan and is very expensive. Any information is greatly appreciated...thanks :)

The Savage Medical Center, 510 East 62nd Street (York Avenue) (212) 838-7053. This is one of the outdo animal hospitals in the country; they have specialists in every area. They have telephone clinic hours where you can call and ask a vet a enquiry. They're also open 24/7. Years ago, I got a cockatiel and he wouldn't eat - the seeds were in his cup to the top and the cup stayed full - no matter I gave him. I got agonized and called the Animal Medical Center. They put their bird expert on the phone - Dr Huntziker - he was an beast opthomologist who specialized in birds. He was very patient and explained that my bird would be dead if he really hadn't eaten anything in three days. It didn't come to pass to me that the cup wasn't filled with seeds - it was filled with empty shells. Eric was eating and spitting out the hulls. Dr. Hunziker told me to take the cup out of the coop up, hold it over the sink and blow - the hulls are very light and blew away. I felt boring, but the problem was solved. (The phone clinic is free, but they are an expensive facility)
