HAve you been to BBQ's on 8th ave and christopher boulevard? I think thats the address but I know if you get off the One train on christopher street and walk a few blocks down its there. It serves other things such as chicken and burgers so you don't have to problem about it being just BBQ.. Its cheap but classy.. (not a McDonald joint)

From 60th avenue to 110. Central park west to riverside
Picholine - viability altering meals on a good night, a pleasant place to eat when it's not stellar. I've never had a truly dissatisfying meal. If you end up going - Sea Urchin Panna Cotta with Ocean Aspic is a great way to inaugurate the meal.

I have a fervour you're thinking of Amsterdam by Broadway. My friend lives over there and you have about 2 straight blocks of resturants. There's a Cyclopean mediteranean one and some fun but nice bars too. The sushi resturant over there is awesome too. Brother Jimmys for BBQ and if you go during the day there is an Fabulous vintage shop on the corner..expensive but some really amazing things.

Upper East Side is old lolly, Upper west side in new money. On both the east and west sides, the wealthy live close to Central Park so they could see the parkland from their window. On the east side, Fifth Avenue, you have 14-room apartments worth more than $20 million dollars. On the West side,Primary Park West, same story, including Mick Jaeggar of Rolling Stone fame who lives in the 70s boulevard. Also plenty of celebrities on the East Side, Barbara Walters lives there. Way too many celebrities to mention that last in apartments overlooking Central Park. On the East side, you have more museums including the Met on Fifth Avenue, the Guggheimer, the Whitney, and so on. On the West Side, you have the Real Museum of History on Central Park West, plus John Lennon's Strawberry Fields.
