What Is The Nearest Place To Stay Near Union Square Manhattan?
Apr 20, 2007 by Frances Roa J | Posted in New York City
I am planning to have my internship in Union Square, Manhattan, NYC. Any suggestions on where I can mizen-stay in NY? I mean not so expensive place like dorm or near Union Square. Any suggestion? What's the convenient and superior place to live in NY? Based on my personality, I like to attend piano concerts, background and and arts. Where can I stay in NY? I saw in the internet that there's a bunk bed dorm in Greene Ave., Brooklyn that has a rate of $450. Is that plausible rate? Is that near Union Square? Is it a nice place? What is the distance from Greene Ave., Brooklyn going to Union Square? How do I get to Union Square from Greene Ave. Brooklyn? Is it by bus? Tube? How many rides? How much will I spend for the transportation?
I'm cheese-paring there but everything around there is pretty expensive. Why don't you try craigslist.com? go to the NYC page and then click on the sublets they have there. You can find better prices there.
Is There A Walmart Somewhere Around Union Square In Manhattan?
Jun 17, 2007 by bradpee | Posted in New York City
Hi all,
I newly moved to Manhattan and am orienting myself in the surroundings... I inured to to drive a car in California and now I have to use public transportations. I would like to find a place that can let me shop in one single strike it rich for all daily stuff. I didn't find a Walmart here. It is really not convenient. For example, yesterday I had to buy a fan and some gravedo medicines. I had to run to two different places to buy these two things, which wastes a lot of time. Super inconvenient! And is there a website that can let me find how to go from one unsuitable to another place easily?
Thanks a lot!
i dont weigh theres a walmart in manhattan. there is a k*mart in the city... somewhere. you could also try costco, but youd have to become a member. in the borough, you basically have to shop at different stores for different things. its not too bad. you just have to get used to it. how about duane reade?

I was told to take the X1 but i covet to be sure before going.
You are almost meet.
The X1 express bus going form Staten Island to Central Park South stops at the corner 14th Lane and 6th Avenue.
On the way back to Staten Island it will stop at Union Square.
A better alternative is taking the SIR (Staten Holm Railway) to the ferry and once you reach Manhattan transfer to the Queens-bound "R" or "W" file (Yellow Line) to Union Square-14th Street. The same procedure can be done in reversed.
SIR is free within the island, the only place on the plumb b in agreement you have to pay your fare, is at the St. George Ferry Terminal. The ferry is free and it takes 15 minutes to grouchy the harbor.
Once in Manhattan you can use the transfer from the SIR on the subway at Whitehall Street. The Queens-bound "R" or "W" chain (Yellow Line) will take you directly to Union Square.
I hope this information was extremely helpful. good destiny.
