Can People Recommend Good Value Hotels In Manhattan And Must See And Do Things In NY/surrounding Area?

To streak getting on with my life after months spent getting over my wife leaving me, I am packing a rucksack and flying to New York - no pre-booking hotels for me! I am spending 8 days and would inclination peoples tips and advice, especially on where to stay (not too expensive, but reasonable quality) and what are unfeigned must see's? Am also think about hiring a car and heading to new hampshire for a few days - any tips? Thanks in advance all!
The Belvedere Bed. 48th Street, 8th Ave.
It is across the road from Broadway, If you walk up the little road from the Hotel you end up on Times Sqaure, 10 mins from Medial Park. I have stayed there all the times i've been to NY and i love the hotel. It is cheap and great for a NY hotel!

The Hilton Garden Inn
It's beautiful much in the same location as the Belvedere but on the main road. It is also around the same price.

Places to see! Where do you start?
1.) Go up either the Rockefeller Center Or Empire Assert!
Amazing views! Approx $18.00/ $20.00
2.) A walk around Central Park/ Bike Ride/ Horse + Carry ride.
3.) Visit Ground Zero Museam + The Site. (World Trade Center)
4.) Take a sailing-yacht trip around the Statue Of Liberty. It goes right up to the Statue so you can get good photos and it slows down then it goes around the sky word of NY + under one of the bridges and turns around, It doesn't let you get off at the statue, if you want to do that then get the other boat but you are stuck on the island for 45 mins, there is nothing else there (not convincing if cold + wet) Otherwise get the boat that goes around the Statue.
5.) Visit Times Square at day + night
6.) Go see a show on broadway (perchance)
7.) Shopping!
8.) Museams? Lots by Central Park.
9.) Take the 'Hop On Hop Off Bus'' And do the night tour on there it goes over the Manhatten Traverse to Brooklyn and you can watch the sun set over the skyline- amazing!
You can also just hop on the bus anywhere and it will go around the city (two buses for upper + demean NY) it's good ticket is vaild for 48 hours cost about $48.00 but it;s worth it for a first duration in NY.
There is a grey line bus tour shop on Times Sqaure and you can get free maps, brochers and they have monthly booklets of what is taking place in the city that month and other little bits in there.

My mom and I are effective to NYC and we're stayng near central park. We're looking for things to do and see that is somewhat close to where we're staying. Anyone conscious any stores that are not expensive?? We want to shop A LOT
Be effective to visit the Strawberry Fields memorial to John Lennon in Central Park. Also go to the Empire Say building to look thru the telescope. Take a subway to Canal Street for interesting and unusual shopping. You can see the Carving of Liberty from Wall Street (another subway ride).
What Are Those Crab Like Things In Manhattan Beach Sand?

When i visited Manhattan Lido, CA , I was digging in the sand and a lot of these crab like things where in it ranging from big to small i just want to cognizant of the name of the species. They seem to dig in the sand :]
I value you may be thinking of a sand flee. People use them as fishing bait.(It is also a type of crab)

They also be sure you what places to eat and there prices.I used the NYC Guide and we saved $50.00 in one day on are trip. Lastly it also tells you well-organized little facts.You wont regret doing that.

Im usual to manhattan for spring break not very long just 4 days but i need fun things to do i want to go shopping and by any chance go to the zoo. I need some suggestions of stuff to do and if you can provide a price that would be great! Thanks for helping.
