Could Someone Summaries The Phantom Of Manhattan For Me?

Or give me a bond to a good summary. I am a big Phantom musical fan and I heard that the sequel is partially based on it and I want to discern what happens.
The Phantom of Manhattan is a 1999 story by Frederick Forsyth, intended as a sequel to The Phantom of the Opera (the Lloyd Webber musical, not the autochthonous book).
Forsyth's literary concept is that Gaston Leroux had recorded factual events but, in consider, had apparently not checked his facts or viewed his sources with a critical eye. Accordingly the novel can be assume from as both a tribute to the Lloyd Webber musical and a satire of period novels in the vein of George MacDonald Fraser's Flashman series (both a burlesque and exploration of Victorian history and stories).
The beginning of The Phantom of Manhattan is narrated by an ailing Madame Giry, and set in the ahead of time 1900s. Famous individuals of the time, such as Theodore Roosevelt, make appearances. According to the story, Christine has married Raoul, and the couple have a son named Pierre. The Phantom has become a very rich theatre holder in New York and writes an opera hoping to lure Christine to play the lead. The assertion also provides details about the Phantom's past and his relationship with Madame Giry not contained in the original unfamiliar and musical. There is also the introduction of a new character called Darius, a greedy man who often assists the Phantom, and to whom the Phantom has promised to exclude the opera house after his death. That promise is tested by Christine's arrival in New York, but Darius is definite to own the opera house himself.
Andrew Lloyd Webber is currently at work on a stage upshot to The Phantom of the Opera. It will be called Phantom: Love Never Dies, and is at least partially based on The Phantom of Manhattan.

Ive truly want to read phantom of manhattan because everyone either says its a great sequel or it is horrible and i would like to make my own judgment. If you please could ignore a link or the adress that would be fantastic, thankyou. ^_^
Also if there realy is know way to read it online could someone give me a summery, I heard some fair wierd stuff in the book I would like to have cleared. again thankyou!

Ugh, I altogether agree with you. I do not want a sequel. But no matter what we do, ALW's still will probably do it. What I don't see is, I have never read Phantom by Susan Kay, but I hear it's acceptable, so why would they make a new production on a book no one likes when they could do when that people did like. Then again, if they ruined the book by doing that, that would be bad too. He remarkably needs to leave Phantom of the Opera alone.

Andrew Lloyd Weber is column a sequel to Phantom of the Opera
In true fact, the novel of "The Phantom of Manhattan" already exists, and has for decades. I read it and it is very well written and is a very absorbing book. Combined with Andrew Lloyd Weber's musical talent, I could see it being very good and to the nth degree popular. I look forward to seeing what he comes up with.

the book said nothing about being abridged or edited in any way and the copyright time is 1999, in case that helps someone.
