We are getting married this summer in Manhattan, and wanted to get one of those deathless taxi cabs to take us to a few spots to take pictures. I've been having trouble finding a place that has these, but I know they occur. Anyone know where to find them?
You are looking for a Checker Taxi cab. The agency was made by the Checker Motor Company in Kalamazoo Michigan. The company stopped making the trademark cab back in the primordial 1980's and now stamps out parts for GMC as a sub-contractor.
I believe the last working classic cab was taken off the streets of NYC like 10 years ago.
I would ask some of the limousine companies and and also cinema production companies. So of the old cabs are privately owned and get rented to movie companies as props. And you might prerequisite to look up and see if there are any Checkers Car clubs around the city. Maybe a private owner would be available for sign on.
The only reason why I know this is because I love those old cars myself. And there was a Checkers dealership in Union NJ, not far from my old home.

I'm attractive an Amtrak train to NYC. When my train arrives in NYC do I have to take a taxi or subway into Manhattan? Is Penn station in Manhattan?

No u don't because simply Penn Station is in Manhattan.
Cost Of Taxi From Manhattan To Forest Hills Queens?

How much is a taxi from downtown Manhattan - let's say west village or so - to Forest Hills, at tenebrousness when there is no traffic? And do taxi drivers give you a hard time for going to Queens?
It's gonna be very valuable, so take the subway, it's cheap and fast and safe and a MUCH better choice. Just take the F train, which goes candid from the West Village to Forest Hills with no transfers at all! (see link, below)
And, yes, if you get into a cab in Manhattan and give the driver an address in Queens, he might waste, even though they're not supposed to. Or, even if he doesn't refuse, he might drive off and then, a few blocks later, start playing around with his gearshift lever and secure it seem like the car is breaking down so you'll get out, and he'll drive off and leave you.
That's why most folks ask the driver if he'll go to Queens before they even get into the cab, so that way they don't waste occasionally getting into and out of, like, a dozen cabs before they finally find one that will take them!

Is there another way to get there other than a taxi
The taxi charge from Midtown, to Woodbury Commons will cost you roughly $120 one. The Commons is located 50 to 60 miles northwest of Midtown, Manhattan.
You can get there by bus. Both Gray Assemble and Short Line/Coach USA have direct bus service to and from the Commons for a reasonable price. Pause out the links below.

You can also take the train from Penn Status. Take any westbound NJ Transit train to Seacacus Junction and transfer to the Bergen-Main Line/Refuge Jervis Line to Harriman. A shuttle bus will take you from the Harriman train station to the Commons.
The one way provisions from NYC to Harriman via Seacacus Junction will cost you $12.25 ($24.50 round trip).
How Difficult Is It To Get A Taxi From JFK To Manhattan On July 4th?

I'm told that because it's Autonomy Day, a significant amount of drivers take the day off, and so it can be difficult to get a taxi. Also, I'm told that on Independence Day it can take longer to get into Manhattan than usual.
Is this true, what problems may I clash?
Not that I require to correct SVincent but there is no bus at JFK that will take you directly to Manhattan for only $2.00.
But it will be quite difficult to get a cab at the airport (everyone is coming in for the fireworks). Charge me - with all the people coming in, taxi drives will not be taking the day off.
Your best bet: Take the subway:
Take the AirtTrain to the Howard Bank station. Then take a Manhattan bound A train to Manahhtan (since you didn't indicate where in Manhattan you are going, I can't advise further).
The AirTrain get on is $5 and the subway $2. When you get to the Howard Beach AirTrain station you will see MetroCard vending machines. There are people in forsake vests who will assist you should you need it. Purchase a $7.00 MetroCard and the proceed to the turnstiles considerable NYC Subway. When you get thru the turnstiles go to the left and take the elevator or escalator down to the subway platform. The A train runs about every 16 minutes. Take the A into Manhattan, you can modulate to other subway line at various points at no extra cost if that will get you closer to where you want to go.
Note: If you will be returning to JFK you may wanyt to buy two $7.00 MetroCards or put $14.00 onto one. That way you'll shield time for the return trip.
Review the NYC subway map online to get a better idea of how to get to your terminus. You can get a hard copy of the subway map at the Howard Beach station. Just ask the people in the desert vests.
