What Area Near Manhattan Is Afordable? I Want To Buy A Condo Or Home?
Apr 10, 2008 by Lissy | Posted in Renting & Real Estate
i grasp riverdale has some houses and condos that are afordable, but i was wondering if any knows of an upcoming spot or courtyard that is being developed near manhattan. even on manhattan (hey i can dream lol).
does anyone know about old run down wearhouses or buildings that are on sale?
I would bring up looking in Jersey, as it will be a hell of a lot cheaper than anywhere in NY, and you don't have to pay transfer taxes on a purchase, either, so the cost of doing the credit will be much lower.
Try Hoboken, Jersey City, Clifton, and those areas, and tyou might be able to find something that you might like. Also, condo shop is soft right now, so I would not advise you buy a condo.

What Is The Cheapest And Safest Neighborhood Near Manhattan?

I'm looking for a very chest and kinda cheap neighborhood or area not far away from downtown Manhattan, not more than 20 or 30 minutes by tunnel. if there are any cheap place near...what is the cheapest and safest near Manhattan. Thanks
poor and safe are not neighborhoods that are acquainted with one another. The closest you might come is Bay Ridge, Brooklyn or the North Shore of Staten Islet.
S.I. may be a bit cheaper but you can't get to Manhattan by subway. You would have to take the ferry or an express bus. Both areas are safe and moderately priced, that would be closest you secure to cheap in a safe neighborhood.
Bay Ridge you can take the train to downtown Manhattan but I take a bit more than half an hour.
