Is There Away To Get To The Meadowlands By Train From Manhattan?
Feb 26, 2009 by Matthew F | Posted in New York City
Hey, I have an experience in NJ at the Meadowlands coming up. I really do not want to drive again this year. I was wondering if there was a way, by train, to get to the Meadowlands from Manhattan?
Matthew, take any westbound NJ Transference train from Penn Station to Secaucus Junction. Once there transfer to a special shuttle bus that will take you from the train station to the Meadowlands.
A globate trip ticket on NJ Transit from Penn Station to Secaucus Junction, which includes the conveyance to the shuttle bus cost $10. Please buy you ticket at Penn Station before boarding and hold on to your ticket because you will have to show it to the bus driver when transfering at Secaucus Point.
Also, when taking the train from Penn Station, please make sure the destination on the departure board has the initials "SEC" displayed next to the train enumerate. "SEC" stands for Secaucus Junction.
Where Is A Reasonably Priced Hotel In New Jersey That Is A Train Ride From Manhattan?

I am looking for a motor hotel or motel prefereable in the $100 range that I could drive to and then take a train into Manhattan. The safer the area the better.
Here is the NJ Moving map. Give you a better idea of where the train runs:

Both Newark and Elizabeth have mess of hotels in that price range, some even cheaper. And it's about 35 minutes into Penn Station from either.
How Do I Get To Jersey City, NJ Using The Path Train From Manhattan?
Mar 05, 2009 by tallpaulmwp | Posted in New York City
I require to get to Jersey City, NJ and i think using the PATH train would be the easiest. I am going to get into Manhattan and then take the subway to wherever the Way train is and then try to get to Jersey City. Anyone got a good understanding of the PATH system? I will award Ten Points to whoever can help me out ASAP, i have to do this tomorrow (friday the 6th). Thanks.
There are several Avenue stations in Manhattan that you could start from and several path stations in Jersey City, as the previous poster said. So in unsuitable to give exact directions, I would need to know exactly where you are starting from in Manhattan and where in Jersey City that you desideratum to be.
Since you didn't provide that information, I can tell you how to find it yourself using the links I provided.
Use Hopstop.com to put in your starting oration and your finishing address and it will give you the closest stations to use, as well as route map, and walking directions when you get out of the Path passenger station.
You could also use google maps to get directions too (make sure you click "by public passage" in the pull down menu).
I'm also including a link to the NJ transit Path map and one to the Subway map.
How Do You Get From Brooklyn To Manhattan By Train?
May 16, 2008 by :D | Posted in New York City
i dont understand how to take the train..
=/
so yea im planning to go to times square by train
can someone tell me how to get from brooklyn to times square?
and can someone tell me how to get from times open and above-board back to brooklyn?
i would really appreciate it
thank you!
What part of Brooklyn? Brooklyn is served by the following trains:
2,3,4,5,A,B,C,D,F,G,J,L,M,N,Q,R,Z, and the Franklin Avenue "S" alternate train.
You'll have to be just a bit more specific.
However, out of those trains, the 2,3,A,C,N,Q,R stop in Times Square. The B and F go close, along 6th Avenue in lieu of of 7th.
Subway map:

EDIT: Check your e-send. In short, get the L to 8th Avenue, then an uptown A/C/E to 42nd. To get back, take a downtown A/C/E to 14th, then the L to where you started from.
What Is The Current Price Of A Train Ticket Roundtrip From Long Island To Manhattan And Back?

I am succeeding to visit a friend in Brentwood and I am trying to figure out my budget for the trip. We plan on engaging the train to and from Manhattan as a day trip while I'm there. Has anyone ridden this train within the last month or so? According to my friend, prices were supposed to go up, so I would like a modern price. Thanks so much!
From Penn Train station To Brentwood
peak fare is $13
off peak $9.50
there's a $5 surcharge if you buy the ticket on the train instead of in the train station.
since it's a reverse commute leaving nyc in the am, you just want the off-peak fares.
