What Was The Significance Of The Manhattan Project To Society?
Jul 21, 2008 by Caitu | Posted in Physics
Can anybody please impart me what was the significance of the Manhattan Project to society?
Thanks!! Please go into detail!!
Developed a weapon that:
1) killed a join hundred thousand people
2) ended the war early, thereby saving a couple hundred thousand people per month it might have otherwise continued
3) maintained an uneasy civil between the superpowers for 50 years
Layed the framework for atomic energy
Like any big study project, I'm sure it had secondary technological spinoffs--advances in metallurgy and mechanical computing among others.

Is Society In England So Sh1t Because The Poor Live Side By Side With The Rich?

In America, you have trailor reservation trash, but they are sperate from most civilised people. In New York, you have the bronx and queens, seperated by a river from manhattan and chelsea areas. But in London, you can remain in a really nice area, walk 2 minutes and you're ina really scummy area. And this is what most of England is like
Does anyone evaluate this is a credible reason why our society is so bad? Or is there more to it?
I often phenomenon how the people who live behind The King's Road in the tower block feel, it must be crap being not up to par & living a mega rich area. I think it makes for good social cohesion having both prince and hobo mixing, what doesn't work as well is the mixing of people from different racial backgrounds (with the natives), now that's a oil and vinegar instant!
What Would Happen If A Nuclear Bomb Detonated And Completely Destroyed Manhattan?

How do you ponder life would change, specifically outside of New York after this event. Do you think people in Denver would go to calling the next day? The next week? The next year? Would there be chaos? Would society as we know it fundamentally change?
Describe what you think the next year or few years would be like after an conclusion like this...
Nuking the banal markets and all the big financial firms would be very, very bad. Our dollars are our strength...
If that doesn't kill us, the Prez will be politically obligated to invade someone in response. War + no stock market = bankrupt.
The U.S. would survive, but it would be rough times.
Am I Going To Be In Trouble From The Humane Society Or PETA?

I have wholly mutilated a roach. I know, I could have just swatted once, but they really freak me out. Looking at it, you may not be unfailing it ever was a roach after I went bezerk on it. But I mean, it was trying to cohabit in my apartment and I just can't grant that. It'll go back and tell a few friends who will tell a few more friends and a few more until it's "Manhattan for Cockroaches". Only tell me, am I going to get one of those nasty phone calls from Animal Rights activists?
Hey , if it wasn't it had to go one way or the other!! If they acquire a win calling (Humane Society or PETA) i got your back
