Good Primary Care Physician In New York/Manhattan?
Mar 26, 2007 by cameron marlow | Posted in New York City
I legitimate moved to New York and am living in Chelsea on the west side. Does anyone have excellent experiences with a unspecific practitioner/internal medicine/family practice doctor as their primary care physician? The closer to retirement community, the better, but I'm willing to travel for good health care.
Not in manhattan- but in store slope, brooklyn is a great internist Dr. Jeffrey Vieira with Long Island College Infirmary- the guy knows his stufff-
He was recommended to me by 3 people and i would recommend him- great bedside manner and incomparable current knowledge of issues and healthcare treatments.
actually i think he has an office in brooklyn heights too- it'll only be like a 20 min harass- not too bad!

I would say it all depends on your knowledge style and what environment you are comfortable in learning.
Should I Do My Nursing Or Physician Assistant Pre-Req's At A Community College Or A More Respected University?

I already have a BS in Diagrammatic Design from Northeastern University in Boston. I need about 2 years of pre req's before applying to a Physicians Assistant Masters program or an RN program and I would like to do at at an low-cost Community College located near my work in Manhattan. Will that make it harder to get into good schools? I am in a little while working in a medical office gaining great clinical experience as a counselor.
I concoct that if you are going to go to school for a Registered Nurses license, then the community college is fine...but if you are prevalent to try to get into a masters program somewhere, I would think you should probably go to a University.
The quality of education at a CC is lacking in my way of thinking. "You get what you pay for." However, there are some programs at a CC that are specifically designed for nursing students that are great.
I deem what I would do in your position is to find a few of the Masters programs you want to apply to for the Physicians Asst and see what their admission requirements are as far as undergrad degrees..and then email or call one of the professors and prophesy them that you are having trouble deciding whether it is better to go to a CC or a Uni. They can help you with that decision.
How Long Does Medical School Take, How Much Do Physians/psycologist Make In NYC, How Much Are Studios In ...?

I am 15 years old and a sophomore in shrill school. I was wondering how long medical school takes for a physician and a psychologist and the expenditure. Also how much a FEMALE physician and psychologist make in New York, around the Manhattan area. Ans how much studios or lofts or what ever are in Manhattan.
It takes a minimum of 8 years (4 doing speculative work, 4 doing residency). Depending on the specialty and location, you'll make somewhere between 200,000 and 1,000,000 before taxes. Gender doesn't signification in the medical field, and I hear that they are quite expensive, but a doctor wouldn't have a problem with it.
