How Do I Get From New York, New York (or Manhattan) To The Bronx Using New York Trains? |
Aug 10, 2006 by Bright B | Posted in New York City
We have to get from New York, New York (close to being Canal st) to the Bronx. Is there a way to get there using the trains? What's the best way?
Would catching a cab be too expensive?
Canal St is at the south end of Manhattan islet and the Bronx is above the northern end. That is pretty far. Depending on where you go, I assume the cost would be at least $25! Go to mta.nyc.ny.us and download their bus and teach maps. Several trains go to different parts of the Bronx, and depending on your destination, you may need a bus move to go further!

What Tourist Attractions In Manhattan, New York Require Advance Reservations? |
Mar 07, 2009 by P S | Posted in New York City
My parents and I will afflict only Manhattan in New York for 3 days, from April 13 to April 15, 2009. What tourist attractions require reservations/ticket procurement in advance to get in and how far (days/weeks) in advance do I have to reserve/purchase ticket? Thanks for your helper.
The Statuette of Liberty requires reservation for a visitor to go inside the Monument.
Since they have a limited number of "Cenotaph Access" passes, reserve it very early.
Why? Approximately 10 to 15,000 people stop per day.

Access to the Isle and Monument is free, however, your parents will need to charter the ferry to get there. An "attraction obsolete" waives the ferry fee as it is included in the purchase price of the pass and lets the holder of the unfashionable see other attractions.

I wish your parents (a self should you influence) a safe and happy time here.

What's The Best Shoe Stores In Manhattan, New York? |
Feb 03, 2008 by Peggy | Posted in Fashion & Accessories
My family and I are traveling to New York (Manhattan) this go about and was wondering the best place to buy nice shoes.
Thank you so much for your help,
Peggy
DSW-originator shoe warehouse. Ther's another place not too far from the Battery Park location and the name escapes me...pitiful! The midtown DSW is surrounded by shoe stores.
And check out the big department stores in midtown. They are hugely assorted than their cousins out in suburban malls. Take a day to wander the area around Time Square, there's plenty to see, lots of stores, it seems like every other accumulation is a shoe store! I think my dream vacation would be a six week shopping trip in Manhattan with an myriad budget!

Looking For A Place To Stay In New York Manhattan? |
Nov 07, 2008 by Sonny G | Posted in New York City
Me and my familiar are flying over to New York over christmas, but we are still unsure as to where we are going to be staying. I'm looking for somewhere that's going to be reasonably stingy but not too tacy, as for most of the time we will be out and about shopping and exploring and doing things. If any of you have had any good experiences of hotels within the Manhattan zone which aren't too far from all the big shopping stores and was reasonably priced, I would very much like to know about it.
Friends have stayed here when visiting Manhattan. It's shut up to Macy's and stores on 34th St.and close to the subway for reaching other locations. There are several different shopping areas.
Also, you dialect mayhap able to find deals at chain websites and hotels.com etc.

This Hotel is reasonably priced for Manhattan with en collection bathrooms. Actually you will get cheaper prices on Christmas and Christmas eve than you will before or after.
You do need to find a hotel willingly because many are booked already.
