Trying To Find A Hotel In New York Between 1st And 8th Of December In Manhattan?
Oct 30, 2007 by mikearscott | Posted in New York City
Prices are $500 a sunset minimum after checking all sites. Only thing I can think of looking at is Priceline's name your price which has half-bred reviews from users. Any other suggestions ? New York is huge so need to be central. Many thanks Michael
Can you please let me conscious some recommended hotels in Queens would be great, thanks.. Michael
There are alot of delicate hotels here in Queens for more than half that price...and while Queens is beautiful, all you have to do is jump on the subway for a expeditious ride into Manhattan...
I can give you suggestions for Queens if you are interested...
Holiday Inn - LaGuardia...ask for the "great clip"...you can call the Crowne Plaza and they can connect you to the Holiday Inn for reservations if interested (800) 692-5429
I am restless to Manhattan for a wedding, the reception will be near Times Square so I would prefer to stay there. There is such a difference in prices and reviews show that twopenny sometimes means nasty - I will have around £600 to spend for five nights for two of us on accomodation.
Can anyone recommend a good quarter to stay
Alternatively is it safe to take up the offer of a place on Craigslist?
I have known people who have successfully acclimated to Craig's list, just be careful.
I have heard good things about the Larchmont Hotel in Greenwich Village (Manhattan). http://www.larchmonthotel.com/
What you might like about that is that a taste bit west of there is an enclave of Brits.
Does Anyone Have Any Review/information About The Days Inn In Long Island City, NY?
Aug 04, 2008 by nelli47_slb | Posted in New York City
I am planning a frisk to New York in September and looking for an economical hotel near Manhattan. I found the Days Inn in Long Island Big apple, but can't seem to find a review, pictures, or any information on its location.
I would like to know if its a clean hotel, how is the area, how far it is from the nearest underpass, etc.
If any one could provide some info on this, I would really apreciate it.
Thanks.
My compatriot, the reason you have not found any pictures or reviews about the hotel in question is because the hotel opened for business about 3 weeks ago.
I never been inside the hotel, however, I old-fashioned it everyday on my way to and from the 33rd Street-Rawson subway station (I attend college near by).
What I can differentiate you, however, there are plenty of room avaliable at the hotel, which is a small five story building. There is a 7-Eleven next door, on Thomson Avenue, that is divulge 24/7 and a small pizza shop, located about three to four doors down from the 7-Eleven, where you can get a slice or a pie.
As for transportation, not only you're nearby the 33rd Street-Rawson subway station of the #7 train (Purple Line), which will get to Times Healthy in 15 minutes, but you're also near three bus lines that will serves the area.
They are:
Q32 which travels between Jackson Heights and Penn Instal
Q39 which travels between Ridgewood, Brooklyn and Queensboro Plaza
Q60 which travels between South Jamaica and Midtown East/2nd Avenue
If you perfered to take the underground railway, the 33rd Street-Rawson subway station is about two and half blocks from hotel, along Queens Blvd. The depot is elevated, meaning its above the street, so you will have stairs to claim (believe me I do it all the time). However, once on the Manhattan-bound stage you can take the #7 train directly to Grand Central, Bryant Park or Times Even.
I hope this information is very helpful. If you have any questions or need travel directions while in town, fitting drop me a line by clicking on the avatar and e-mail icon in the profile. I'll be glad to eschew.
