NEED A GOOD RATE/DEAL On A HOTEL IN MANHATTAN, NY, USA |
Aug 06, 2008 by lilswetness94 | Posted in New York City
hey is there anyone out there that by any means works for a hotel chain or knows someone that does that can help me get a good rate/deal on a hotel in Manhattan, NY, USA. I am traveling there with my hubby and another join, we need 2 rooms and we are traveling Sept. 13-18...we are only finding really expensive like $350 a round-the-clock minimum..I tried all the online hotel sites, hotel.com, orbitz, priceline..etc... PLEASE HELP IF U CAN.. THANKS.. NOT ASKING FOR A At large ROOM JUST A DECENT RATE... we are actually looking to stay south of Inner Park...
thanks
i always use craigslist vacation rentals--you get a much safer rate 'cause your dealing with actually people and not a hotel chain--they'll work with you more...often entire apartment units are within reach for cheaper then a small hotel room

My Mom And I Are In Desperate Need Of A Nice But Decently Priced Hotel In Manhattan? |

for 2 days. we've tried all the hotel unite deal sites and compared them to the room rates on the actual hotel website and we're really not getting a fair deal. whats the best way to go about getting reasonably priced hotels in manhattan? should we 86 the travel websites and go through a travel activity?
Cassie suggested systematically what I was going to. call the hotels directly and speak to an agent and see if they can help you directly. If you belong to any associations they might be expert to discount or if it is an off time, they might be able to discount. Don't call the 800 numbers for chains, try to get the direct add up for the hotel in Manhattan.
edit: I just remembered... call the Hotel Larchmont. It is in Greenwich Village. Very decently priced but books with dispatch.. Only downside, is depending on the room you may have to share a common bathroom but if that doesn't worry you (can't remember if they have private bathrooms too) than this is a great option.

Are There Any Affordable And SAFE Hotels In Manhattan (preferably In Midtown) That Accept Cash? |
Jun 17, 2007 by Alyssa P | Posted in New York City
I am heading to NYC in mid July and unfortunatly I have no trust card or any form of means to pay at a hotel. I have heard of a few places that take cash, but I am hesitant to deal with less than adequate conditions (bad part of community, dirty rooms, etc..) I am willing to share a bathroom with other guests just as wish as it is clean. I have only 500 dollars tops for three days and I know that is a bit of a stretch but I hope there is something out there. No Brooklyn, Queens, or the Bronx though! Thanks.
TRY looking into this one

I heard its skilful. not positive on payment though. seems like they would take cash at the desk. and i know they have vacancies . it is in the HAT
