i am succeeding to new york city with my mom in a couple of weeks. my whole family went last summer so we're going to pop in a few of our favorite things, like serendipity 3. however, i'm looking for more fashion and beauty oriented things since it will perfectly be the girls.
we're thinking about going to lush cosmetics and mood fabrics, are there any other places that we should clearly go to?
we're staying in chelsea, if that helps at all.
Decidedly go to Henri Bendel! It is very modern and recently stopped selling clothes, but now carries lovable accessories. That's where I shopped when I was in New York City recently. The sales people were very helpful and friendly, and not snobby. If you go to Bergdorf Goodman, dress well and look sophisticated or you will be looked at like bullshit. Saks Fifth Avenue is also a must, as is Barneys, it's where all the celebrities shop! Zara is a great in order to go for cheaper but equally as cute clothes.
