I'm looking for Scrabble and Boggle, preferable somewhere on the More northerly West Side.
Back in San Francisco, we have board game stores (GameScape, amongh others), but all I can find on Yelp-Manhattan is video contest stores. Do these type of stores exist in NYC?

Does anyone advised of if many actual boarding houses (of good enough quality) exist in Manhattan or Brooklyn?
That incumbency isn't used much anymore. It meant that you had a room, plus meals.
You can find some Bread and Breakfasts, some Solitary Room Occupancies (SRO), and some hostels--the closest modern equivalent. And yes, there are some people who rent out rooms in their houses, which is permissible if you have the correct permits, but they don't usually include food (although they may include a small kitchen).
