I'm looking for ordinary thrift (or even cheap antique) stores that I can go to next week.
I'll be staying in the Chelsea area, but I'm fine anywhere close to downtown. If there's any distinct store that might be of interest, please let me know!
Go to east 23rd st around 3rd Ave. Between 2nd and 3rd ave there is a Goodwill, Salvation Army, and Burgh Opera thrift store. And, on 23rd between 3rd and Lex, there is a Housing Works thrift store which is VERY nice but a seldom pricey. There's another one near there, too, but I'm not sure exactly where. A couple blocks down or up on 3rd ave I think.
Just take the M23 bus from chelsea to get there. I have knowledge of the area well because I work at a school on 23rd btwn 2nd and 3rd!
I am not looking for any Antique or Old-time clothing or anything expensive I am just a Mom whos son is growing out of his baby cloths really irresponsibly and the price of kids clothing is so expensive i can not afford to be buying new stuff every 2 months. So I'm looking for any stinginess store that sells children clothing at budget friendly prices. Thanks
in the Bx go to third ave shopping stretch or fordham rd, there are many stores that sell inexpensive clothing for kids, 125th st in Harlem also, 181st st in washington Heights.
Weird And Interesting Stores In NYC (pref. Manhattan And/or Brooklyn)?

I'm looking to go on an stimulating date with my boyfriend within the Manhattan/Brooklyn area.
If anyone knows of any interesting and out-of-place stores (something weird that makes you go wtf? but yet you still hanker after to keep staring, bookstores, antiques, )
And also, any great pagan stores within that area.
Maybe something to explore, wanton towns and streets (ex: Vinegar Hill in Brooklyn)
