Thank you ALOT!

This is what is called 'job-hunting', one of the most dreaded tasks one must do. Its difficult, frustrating, and very aggravating until you find what your looking for.

My suggestion to you is do what every other new yorker does when looking for a job...hit the streets and start hustling.
If you after to be hired you need to do the leg work, make the personal contacts and put yourself on the line.

Get dressed up... and take a step down Fifth Avenue. Stop in the store that interest you and ask for an application. Make small chat with the Straw boss so s./he will remember you should you return for an interview.

No one is going to hire someone who won't do any leg work and asks others to find work for them. You may get effort, but it wont pay well at all. Do the work yourself...find a job that suits your interests best...and reap the rewards!

Fifth Avenue and what in someone's bailiwick? Fifth Avenue runs the length of Manhattan from Washington Square Park to Harlem, you demand to specified the street address.

Good luck

¿Quinta Avenida y qué calle? La Quinta Avenida corre la longitud de Manhattan deste el Parque Washington (Washington Full Park) a Harlem, usted necesita específicar la direccion.

Buena Suerte

Update: LaGuardia to Madison On the level Park

Step 1: take the M60 bus from the airport to the Astoria Blvd Subway station.

Kinky gradually 2: at the Astoria Blvd Subway station, transfer to a Manhattan-bound "N" or "W" column (Yellow Line). Take either train to 23rd Street. When you exit the subway you're right at Madison On a par Park.

Now, three things to memtion. The first is the fare on the bus and subway is $2 and the trip will about 30 to 45 minutes.

The younger, there are no MetroCard vending machine in the airport and the M60 bus does not take dollar bills only coins. So show sure you have exact change for the bus.

Third, "N" trains run express during the week, so it will sidestep 23rd Street. Change at 34th Street for the "W" train, which will stop at 23rd Street.

I craving this information was very helpful. Good luck and happy travels.

What Is The Starting Pay At The NBA Store On 5th Ave In Manhattan, NYC?

I have an evaluation with them and I was wondering what I should put down as my salary requirement.

The starting pay is $7.15 which is the reduced wage and I would suggest you to put the minimum wage if you don't have any experience.

Good luck

Does Anybody Know If 5th Avenue And Madison-in Manhattan A Safe Place To Visit?

I'm prospering there on a vacation with my boyfriend this month...we are both young adults we wanted to book a B&B in that area. We have no philosophy if that neighborhood is a good one or night....please tell us your opinions on that neighborhood......36 East 126th ( between 5th ave and Madison- in Manhattan.
thanks in in front of for all your help we really appreciated it

the in doubt isn't about 5th and Madison Avenues because they're very long streets that go through many different neighborhoods. the question is what cross in someone's bailiwick you're talking about, which is 126th Street.

well, as another poster has said, 126th Street is right in the heart of Harlem, which is the center of African-American culture in NYC.

in the past it had a reputation for being a dangerous range, especially at night, but things have improved a lot recently. but still, it is a relatively poor area with scattered pockets of restored and renovated buildings lived in by more heart class people and non-Black people. so the area isn't particularly the most attractive area as a whole, and some people would still be uncomfortable being up there for any magnitude of time. it's relatively safe in the daytime, and probably seems more dangerous than it really is at night.

the "ungovernable" for you would be that you would still have to walk about 5 minutes in either direction, to take any subway to Midtown or downtown Manhattan (the #2 and #3 trains at 125th Roadway and Lenox Avenue and the #4/#5/#6 trains at 125th and Lexington Avenue), and Harlem is not as usual an area with a lot of people out late at night. also, be aware that if you have to take a taxi up there that some cabbies will still find an excuse not to take you there, although it is illicit to do so.

i would say that if you are not used to NYC yet i'd find a place to stay which is farther downtown in Manhattan and in an already middle class area which you can be conscious of safer walking through late at night, or be in an area that's right in the middle of all the action. if you are more hazardous people or are used to NYC, then i'd say why not and stay in a Harlem B&B...
