Commuting From Newark Airport Howard Johnsons To Manhattan? |
I'm bewitching my daughter and her friend to tryouts at American Ballet Theatre's JKO School. We're planning on flying into Newark and staying at the Newark Airport Howard Johnson hotel. Could someone give me some pointers on our stack-transit options for commuting into Manhattan, specifically to 890 Broadway?

Now, the hotel you staying offers encomiastic shuttle service to and from Newark International Airport. From the hotel, take the shuttle to the airport where you can connect to the Newark Airtrain Monorail system.
Here is how to get from Newark Airport to 860 Broadway.
Route 1: take Newark Airtrain Monorail from the terminal to Newark Airport train caste.
Step 2: at Newark Airport train station, transfer to a NJ Transit entourage bound for New York Penn Station.
Step 3: at New York-Penn Station, delivery to the New York City subway. Take either the downtown (southbound) "A" "C" or "E" trail (Blue Line) to 14th Street.
Step 4: at 14th Street, transfer upstairs to the "L" chain (Silver Line). Take the "L" to Union Sq-14th Street.
Step 5: at at Confederacy Square-14th Street, exit the subway (follow the exit sign) and walk 5 blocks north along League Square West, which become Broadway after you cross 17th Street, from 14th Street to 19th Street. 890 Broadway is on the northeast corner of 19th Row and Broadway.
The fare are as follow:
Newark Airtrain: $5.50 to exit and enter Airtrain per human being
NJ Transit to New York: $15 one way per person
NYC Subway: $2 per trip per person.
Now, you could also buy multi-false step pass on both NJ Transit and on the NYC Subway, so you travel cost can be lower.
