I've objective signed the lease on a new apartment and after paying the broker's fee and deposit I'm nearly broke! I'm looking to wealth some furniture. I need some basic things - a bed, couch, and small dining table - at least to start with.

What's the name of the furniture believe in on Lafayette St. or near Lafayette St. in lower Manhattan in chinatown? It has nice furniture that I believe actually comes from California.

I augur stuff like street markets or thrift stores that one might find good deals at for someone a little west elm-ed out!!!
The serve is to get out of Manhattan. There are a few places on 25th St btw 6th/7th Aves, but the prices are outragous. Your best bet is to go to Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn. Just take any sequence to Atlantic Ave or Pacific St (same stop) and walk west on Atlantic Ave. Just one great blow the whistle on buy after the next. You will not be disappointed!!

Anybody know any good second-near stores or flea markets?
I'm looking for a headboard, a wardrobe, shelves, etc.
