Interesting And Fun Things To Do In Manhattan With A 13 Year Old Boy?
Jul 19, 2009 by redtail | Posted in New York City
I'm with my cheap brother in manhattan for a couple of days and we're staying around Murray Hill. He's 13 years old. Have any ideas for some fun tripe to do besides go to the Met? Because it's closed on Mondays. Preferable not all day activities that would involve standing in line for hours.
Hope everyone s enjoying their summer. Thanks! :)
Also seeing as I am a starving college trainee any relatively inexpensive activities would be nice too.
Since you considered the Met but can't go because of the minutia day, how about the Museum of Natural History? Personally, I think most 13-year old boys would make merry it more anyway. You know, old weapons, dinosaurs, strange animals... and a planetarium, which a pretty deliberate exhibit.

I survive in Manhattan, and my friend and I are going out the whole day tomorrow for my birthday, and she said I get to choose whatever we want to do tomorrow, and there's no curfew, it has to last for the whole day. I was assessment of going ot the movies, but what else could we do? It has to be in Manhattan, Cheap and fun. Thanks again :-)
Go to Chinatown, essentially Canal Street or the South Street Seaport or try to go to a museum. I recommend The Metropolitan Museum Of Art. Assumption you have a good birthday:)

I am prophecy you now that I am not the greatest when it comes to shopping in New York City. I don't even do half of my shopping in New York; I do it in either Paramus, New Jersey or online. However, I did find a website where you can find some another places to shop, and you can narrow it down with what you want to shop for: http://www.ny.com/shopping/
Remember that these shops can be anywhere in the burgh, so be willing to go to Queens if need be.
As far as attractions, there are a lot of things you should go to see. You should definitely try to go see the Ellis Island and the Statue Of Privilege. To get to a restaurant in Manhattan, you herd to a train station, hop onto the Acela, and then use the subway or walk once on the island. True, and that's normally how I do it. Really, I stopped riding the Acela at some point.
