Williamsburg or one of the next to areas is probably the way to go. If you want something a little further out, you can try the kensington area, which is nice, but relatively worthless as well. Plus, it's right by prospect park.

That's all a suspicions about of your age and interests.
The most expensive area is on the Upper East side at the edge of Central Park. There are righteous schools nearby and plenty of high quality flats and houses.
Singles likely to favour Tribeca or the Meatpacking district because that is where the clubs and bars are.
The financial district is not a great mission to live. Midtown is congested and mainly offices and shops.
What's The Best Way To Get From New York JFK Airport To Financial District In Manhattan?

I am successful to New York at the weekend but as I have not booked a package deal I don't get transfers to the hotel. Just wondering if anyone can advertise me the quickest/easiest/cheapest way to get from JFK airport to Wall Street?
I'll be arriving at 9:30pm townswoman time if that makes any difference.
I always use a cab.
It's a set eatables (I think $45) from JFK to anywhere in Manhattan so you won't get stung if the traffic is lousy.

If I'm Driving From The Financial District In Manhattan, Would A Commute To The Newark Airport Be Feasable?

I scarcity to be to work each day about 06:30 a.m. and would be coming home around the same time in the p.m. Are there park and ride options?
Not assured why you would want to drive from New York to Newark. You should check out Trip123's transit erratum planner as it plans a trip from any origin address to a destination address in the NYC metro enclosure with arrival and "leave" times.
I put in the WORLD TRADE CENTER and Newark Airport and got a Totality Trip Time of 51 minutes. The trip used the PATH and New Jersey Traverse Bus 62.
If you do drive, at best it takes a half hour each way and it is hard to say how long it will take at worst plus you have to pay for car allow / lease, parking, insurance, gas, etc.
To find your best route use the trip planner with any origin and journey's end address in the metropolitan area and by day and time that you want to travel.
