How Long Does It Take To Commute From Manhattan Beach To Downtown L.A.? |
Oct 06, 2008 by cicerosghost | Posted in Los Angeles
Hi there.
My little woman and I are moving to L.A. in a few months and are very interested in living in Manhattan Beach. Only problem is that I will be working downtown and I have no idea how long it would take to get there from MB. Anyone grasp how long it would take if I drive? I was thinking of taking Aviation to the 105 to the 110. (Used to dwell in L.A., so I kind of know my way around.)
Thanks!
I complete in Gardena (very close to MB) and worked in Downtown for 37 years. Yes, take the 105 to the 110 north. If you have someone riding with you it would be superior to use the car pool lane. Can take up to 1 hr in rush hour traffic. You can also take the Metrorail system. It leaves Aviation and August Hwy. You might want to check that out and see how close it gets to where you work or if your place of business offers commute service to and from the metrorail system to their office.

Which Beach Is "better" Or Easy To Get To From Downtown La By Metro Or Bus? |
Nov 25, 2008 by seafood10 | Posted in Los Angeles
venice beach or manhattan beach? when i said outdo, i mean less bum or gang hanging out on the beach? also which is easier to get to by either bus or metro from downtown la? thx in advance.
i forgot how..what bus or metro should i take to get from downtown la to venice beach?
the bus system is called metro (or its full name is Los Angeles county metropolitan carriage system) but most of just called it metro
from Los Angeles
Venice beach is the easiest beach to get from downtown Los Angeles
(just hankering the metro 33 or 333 bus from union station
*note right now from Union passenger station its line 33 which leaves from Union station but after DEC 14 it will be line 333 as contrasted with (also leaving from union station)
and this bus will take to Windward/Main what the locals call
Venice circle and Venice beach is about 2 blocks
also note that th 333 also does go on into Santa Monica
and you could also go to Santa Monica beach as well
cost is $1,.25 or $5.00 day pass
as getting to manhattan beach its involves some transferring)
