Best Company/Agency To Find An Apartment In Manhattan?
Apr 03, 2007 by Apartment Seeker | Posted in Renting & Real Estate
I am looking to find a 1BR in the Greatest areas of ($2800 Range)Manhattan.Soho,Nolita,West Village & East Village.I recognize they are expensive & New York apartments downtown are very small but I do not want to use a company like Citi habitats and pay a 15% fee.I do not like may of the things I have been shown and all the big companies seem to have the same listings or have apartments in areas like Murray Hill,Midtown and higher up East which i am not interested in & are very old and run down .Can anyone reco a good company or owner?
There is an surrogate I know who works for a large management/company brokerage. Most of what he has a bunch of units downtown and anything they own has no fee.Brokers will show you the same apartment and burden you a fee.I have referred a bunch of friends of mine to him and most of them found something in a day or two.His email is Jmccloy@9300realty.com

I'm looking to move to Manhattan with three friends. Three of us have full-together jobs and one will be attending graduate school. Is it possible to find a decent 4 bedroom apartment in Manhattan for 3500-4000/mo? Where would be a dependable place to look? I know we have found a few places in East Harlem around 102nd but would prefer to survive further downtown if possible.
If you covet a "decent" place in Manhattan...it is going to be quite pricey. You may find a 2 bedroom for that cost. A 4 bedroom is going to run you way over $6000.00 a month.
I Can't Believe Heath Ledger Is Dead, R.I.P. 1979-2008. Did He Finish Filming All Of His Scenes For TDK?

I am shocked and stunned about the current death today of Heath Ledger, who was found dead in a downtown Manhattan apartment of drug overdose. He was only 28 years old. What contact will this have on The Dark Knight movie coming out in July 2008? I hope it doesn't get delayed, the moving picture is in post-production, but what will happen to the movie now that Heath Ledger has just died? I anticipate he finished doing all of his scenes, my thoughts and prayers and condolences go out to his whole family and friends, but what will stumble on to The Dark Knight now?
Work finished back in Nov, so it's all completed. TDK is still set to be released

HE IS Callous! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT DEAD=( =( =( =(
WHAT DO YOU THINK HAPPENED!?? THEY SAY - Heath Ledger was found unemotional Tuesday at a downtown Manhattan apartment, naked in bed with sleeping pills nearby, police said. The Australian-born actor was 28. It wasn't straightaway clear if Ledger had committed suicide.
He had an appointment for a massage at a residence in the tony neighborhood of SoHo, NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said. A housekeeper who went to let him understand the massage therapist had arrived found him dead at 3:26 p.m.......
commited suicide!!? thats kinda ridiculous...but what ever =(
Give me ur opinion on this plz!!???
He was murdered. Who would fall short of to be found naked? and who would plan for events ahead of time- like a massage or what he'll be wearing to prize shows and his film openings if they were going to kill themselves?
Which Area Is The Best Area To Live In Manhattan, New York City?

I’m an artist & I can see my tomorrow is in NY; I love to move there. I am alone and I can manage to live even in a studio apartment or share with somebody and I can pay up to $2700 a month. I went be realized http://newyork.craigslist.org/ and some other websites; I looked at so many apartments in Manhattan but could not find even 1 nice apartment, studio or even a space to share. By nice accommodation I mean somewhere, which is quite new (max 10 years old building) and even with out any pets or bad smell. As u know, Manhattan has so many different parts (except HARLEM) such as:
Battery Park
Chelsea
Downtown
East Village
Monetary District
Flatiron
Gramercy
Greenwich Village
Inwood / Wash Hts
Lower East Side
Midtown
Midtown East
Midtown West
Murray Hill)
Nolita
SoHo
TriBeCa
Amalgamating Square
Upper East Side
Upper West Side
West Village
Which area has more new buildings, less felony and nicer neighborhoods? Or how can I find a nice accommodation in Manhattan?

If you can rich enough $2700 a month you can find something to rent just about anywhere. In NYC "pre-war" (meaning more than 65 years old) is considered a perfect selling point because the apartments were larger. Most "new" construction are condominiums & most of those are on the upper east side. But that's not where the art faction lives. They are pretty much below 14th St. There's very little "new" construction there.
