Is It Fairly Easy To Get Into A Cuny Community College (ex: BMCC) With Just Your GED? ?
Dec 17, 2008 by s7977 | Posted in Higher Education (University +)
My grade was a little over 3000, and I already submitted an application to a few of cuny's community colleges. I'm hoping to attend BMCC (Borough of Manhattan Community College) and I was upstanding getting a bit worried if I'll get in. Are there a lot of ppl applying to bmcc, or is it fairly easy to get in?
Any info will be appreciated,
thanks in progress!
So yearn as they still have space available in their class, you should be able to get into BMCC. They will have you take placement tests, to determine what steady of math and English you should go into. But beyond that, you're good to go with the GED you have.

wowwwwww..
to the left where the thugs hold out out! wow....that is deff crossed off my list..now ineed some juice about the rest of them.
oh kay thank you. yes im effective for nursing & I want to pick a great school with great surroundings as well.
BMCC doesnt' have a campus. All they have is a b-ball court to the liberal where the thugs like to hang out when the weather gets nice. I hate to disappoint you but I make reference to from experience.
Leonard, I was completely honest in what I said. I wouldn't recommend that anyone go to that school. I am not the first to refer to it as a "fete school" and I won't be the last. You're entitled to your opinion but I stated facts!
Ok me and my buddy are planing 2 move to nyc and go 2 1 of the Cuny comunity collages and then change into nyu but we need 2 know what would be best for us 2 do they have these locations
# CUNY Borough of Manhattan Community College
# CUNY Bronx Community College
# CUNY Hostos Community College
# CUNY Kingsborough Community College
# CUNY La Guardia Community College
we categorically like Manhattan and would like to be close to Manhattan but the 1 in Manhattan i cant seem 2 find a decent place to live near the campus then there is the kingsborough in brooklyn i have no key about where to live in Brooklyn queens or bronx so if you guys could please help me on figuring this out thanks. Oh and btw we will be tiresome 2 move in sometime in august our rent will be paid for probably for the first 2 months from our parents in the mean time we would stress 2 find decent jobs so we will be paying for this together
Hostos is a fair game. Borough of Manhattan Community College has good and bad professors, depending on the major. The professors in english and sexual sciences are the best. The math professors are the worst. The BMCC campus is located in mark down Manhattan, about a 10 minute walk from City Hall. I don't know much about Bronx Community College but it's not in the maximum effort area. Kingsborough has a beautiful campus. It is a student friendly school. However, out of all the schools on your record Kingsborough is the furthest away from Manhattan. LaGuardia Community college is iffy. It's very close to Manhattan. Not the best public school, not the worst.

I'm opinion about going to one of the CUNY community colleges in NYC but I'm not very familiar with the area or the colleges so I would like to know which ones are closest to Manhattan and which ones have the nicest campuses.
also, I'm not of with the colleges so I don't know which ones have dorms or if none of them have dorms. so If they don't could someone tell me how much it would cost to live in an apartment. Not a figment of the imagination apartment or anything just something a college kid could live in and afford I guess.
