I thirst to move to NYC/Manhattan area after I get my nursing certificate. Any good/safe places I should look into? Possibly nearby a hospital (since I may work in one). Plus it needs to be cheap, well as cheap as you can get a studio or 1 room apartment. I don't cognizant of exactly where to look for good apartments, I just keep getting the REALLY expensive ones. Please and Blame-you's!!!
NYC is one of the most up-market cities to live in. Good apartment are never cheap. For a small 350-450 sq. ft. apartment in a respectable area, expect to pay between $1600-2500 a month. Apartments close to hospitals may be much more since the demand is much higher.
Pre-foreclouse Or Foreclosure Apartments In Manhattan (nyc)?

Where can I find Pre-foreclouse or foreclosure apartments in Manhattan (nyc)?
It's all the same everywhere. Baulk with a local real estate agent. Most all foreclosures are listed in the mls before they are sold. When I say most all, I mean 99%.
The agents will be glad to email you every foreclosure available. Preforeclosure is tricky since many who have a foreclosure notice on their home are just missing one mtg. payment. They most often make up that payment and never go into a real foreclosure and come for sale. so to industry on those is a vast waste of time. I know I've done it a few times when I get the urge to get smarter than the croud. It's very stretch consuming with so far for me zero reward. However I have purchased some preforeclosures that were listed and some true foreclosures that were listed.

I prerequisite a place to stay from July to mid September, I guess I need to sublet or live with a roommate. I have tried craigslist and the people on there only seem interested in scamming you. my budget is 1500 / month excluding utilities. Can someone period me to a good resource in finding somewhere to stay? Thank You
if there are any sites where you do not have to pay a large amount of money to impression outdated listings, that would be welcomed as well.
Veronica, You should keep irritating craigslist. Just keep being careful of the scammers. Eventually you will find what you are looking for, Maybe narrow your search to the upper east side or murray hill or perhaps up by columbia or alphabet city. They are the less expensive and fun to live areas. You could also check out the financial community but there tends to be less nightlife there. You might not be disappointed with park slope in brooklyn or brooklyn heights and you might find some favourable options.

A Group 8 apartment is very hard to come by in Manhattan. You might want to consider check out the other outer boroughs.
