How Long Does It Take To Travel From Washington DC To Manhattan By Car? Any Good Carjourney Planning Websites? |
Sep 25, 2006 by joost12 | Posted in Commuting
I'm all things driving from Washington DC to Manhattan. How long does it take by car? Are the roads congested? Which US websites are good for planning car journeys and getting directions?
Google maps is the master for learning the surrounding areas, though from DC to Manhattan, you will get on 95 and follow signs. it's a very easy drive to direct.
The NJ turnpike and New York bridge/tunnels will rob you blind. If you have EZ pass, you'll save some time waiting in tribute lines.
With no traffic, it should take about 3 hours to Philadelphia, and another 1.5 hours to NYC. 95 is also a major business route, and around this time of year, there is a lot of construction around major cities.

How Long Does It Take To Drive From Washington DC To Manhattan New York? |
Jun 25, 2009 by wfmom20s | Posted in New York City
On a Monday, leaving DC about 3:00 or 4:00.
Because of you!
Could be about 5 hours, could be about 8 with transportation. I-95 is notorious for traffic, it's practically one mega-city encompassing DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Newark, and New York, and jams can take place at any point along the way.
