Is There Away To Get To The Meadowlands By Train From Manhattan?
Feb 26, 2009 by Matthew F | Posted in New York City
Hey, I have an when it happened in NJ at the Meadowlands coming up. I really do not want to drive again this year. I was wondering if there was a way, by train, to get to the Meadowlands from Manhattan?
Matthew, take any westbound NJ Pass train from Penn Station to Secaucus Junction. Once there transfer to a special shuttle bus that will take you from the train station to the Meadowlands.
A close trip ticket on NJ Transit from Penn Station to Secaucus Junction, which includes the transmission to the shuttle bus cost $10. Please buy you ticket at Penn Station before boarding and hold on to your ticket because you will have to show it to the bus driver when transfering at Secaucus Joining.
Also, when taking the train from Penn Station, please make sure the destination on the departure board has the initials "SEC" displayed next to the train numbers. "SEC" stands for Secaucus Junction.
Where Is A Reasonably Priced Hotel In New Jersey That Is A Train Ride From Manhattan?

I am looking for a pension or motel prefereable in the $100 range that I could drive to and then take a train into Manhattan. The safer the area the better.
Here is the NJ Carriage map. Give you a better idea of where the train runs:

Both Newark and Elizabeth have loads of hotels in that price range, some even cheaper. And it's about 35 minutes into Penn Station from either.
How Do I Get To Jersey City, NJ Using The Path Train From Manhattan?
Mar 05, 2009 by tallpaulmwp | Posted in New York City
I trouble to get to Jersey City, NJ and i think using the PATH train would be the easiest. I am going to get into Manhattan and then take the subway to wherever the Procedure train is and then try to get to Jersey City. Anyone got a good understanding of the PATH system? I will award Ten Points to whoever can help me out ASAP, i have to do this tomorrow (friday the 6th). Thanks.
There are several Circuit stations in Manhattan that you could start from and several path stations in Jersey City, as the previous poster said. So in order to give enforce directions, I would need to know exactly where you are starting from in Manhattan and where in Jersey City that you need to be.
Since you didn't produce that information, I can tell you how to find it yourself using the links I provided.
Use Hopstop.com to put in your starting address and your finishing greet and it will give you the closest stations to use, as well as route map, and walking directions when you get out of the Path station.
You could also use google maps to get directions too (skip town sure you click "by public transit" in the pull down menu).
I'm also including a identify with to the NJ transit Path map and one to the Subway map.
What Is The Current Price Of A Train Ticket Roundtrip From Long Island To Manhattan And Back?

I am booming to visit a friend in Brentwood and I am trying to figure out my budget for the trip. We plan on engaging the train to and from Manhattan as a day trip while I'm there. Has anyone ridden this train within the last month or so? According to my friend, prices were supposed to go up, so I would like a just out price. Thanks so much!
From Penn Train station To Brentwood
peak fare is $13
off peak $9.50
there's a $5 surcharge if you buy the ticket on the train instead of in the position.
since it's a reverse commute leaving nyc in the am, you just want the off-peak fares.
How Long Will It Take To Take A Train From Manhattan To Potsdam, New York?
Feb 19, 2009 by Fedor400 | Posted in New York City
I have to take a Toefl there at 10 am?
So do i have to be on the train at like 1 am?
Getting there by train won't exertion. The closest Amtrak station is about 60 miles from Potsdam and even that will only put you in Lake Placid, not in Potsdam. Also, there is only one train that goes on that road, and the timing won't work for you--you'd have to go the day before and stay the night.
If you want to look for yourself, here's a link to Amtrak's website:
http://www.amtrak.com
And before you ask, there is no other train accommodation to that part of the state. Sorry.
Have you looked into flying or taking the bus?
Even better, can you take the test anywhere closer to Manhattan? Potsdam is over 200 miles away...
