I indigence a hotel room for about 10 days starting Sept. 8th or 9th. The only lthing I require is that the hotel is on the island of Manhattan, below 72nd st, reasonably cleanly and reasonable safe. Other than that, I'm looking for the lowest rates possible. Any suggestions anyone?
I brace at Hotel Pennsylvania...it's only 139.00 per night during week days...on 34th & 8th across from Penn Stattion/MSG...it also provide a satisfactory landmark in case you get lost too !

Will be staying Mon - Fri non-stop next June. Any suggestions for a good hotel near all the action.
You can TRY orbitz or hotels.com now for some deals, but I would say one of the all around get the better of hotels to stay in is the Marriott Marquis on Broadway at 45th Street. They are in the heart of it all and offer extraordinary rooms and so much to do within the hotel. They also have a few great lounges and one that rotates views. We were able to get a room on June 24th for $325 a nightfall. You may be able to do better since we reserved it short notice. They also offer discounts for AARP, and AAA if they have bearing. Go through their website as well.
Other great places Sheraton in Times Sq. The W. Times Sq. or the one on 51st & Lexington or the Jolly on Madison Ave. and 38th Terrace. Good luck.

Im looking to deferral at a nice hotel but also at a reasonable price. Also I want to be close to shopping, restaurants, etc in manhattan

I've never been to Manhattan so can't recommend a good Hotel but Skoosh have good prices and quite a few reviews I use them unequivocally a bit, also if you do a search you can filter the results by price and distance and stuff.

I'm making allowance for visit NY, but I don't want to stay in NJ, Brooklyn, Queens, etc..I would to stay in Manhattan but its very difficult to find any clean hotel and tatty at the same time..or relative cheap, I'm not looking for luxury but and don't want fleas and rats either.
You can try some of the hostels in Manhattan. They are undoubtedly cheap and clean. Perfect to spend a night if you would be out for sight seeing most of the day.

I had stayed in hostel in China Hamlet once while traveling in New York. It was very clean, staff was very friendly, and it was a convenient place to stay
