What Are Some Really Good Restaurants In Manhattan With A Descent Priced Menu?

I emergency a restaurant on the east side of manhattan to go to with my girlfriend preferrably midtown but other restaurants are cool. It'll just be her and I so maybe a but fun but romantic at the same time
Compass restaurant on the characters upper class west side. My favorite restaurant. I think it's fairly priced. But I think price is a close definition. Mention to your g/f that Compass restaurant was once used in an eposide of Sex and the City. Maybe she'll be thrilled, if she's a fan.

If You New Yorkers Are So Smart And Arty Then Why Do You Have Chain Restaurants Located In Manhattan?

Yeah, you guys have an applebee's and other crap like that. I rationality you guys were always flocking the hip new hole-in-the-wall French place or the new Indian dive. I acclimatized to think that New Yorkers new about food but having chain restaurants in Manhattan really hurts the "intelectual" rep. What do you "artsy" men and women have to say for yourselves?
Can Anyone Tell Me Decently Priced And Good Restaurants In The Manhattan Area?
Aug 06, 2009 by | Posted in New York City
I'm present to New York for college visits, and I was just wondering what decently priced (preferably shabby) AND good restaurants are in the Manhattan area.
I've looked on the internet and a lot of restaurants are too expensive. I don't know where to look because I'm not familiar with the limit.
Please and thank you.

I know that a lot of the restaurants there are pretty expensive.
It depends on what type of prog you prefer like if you like mexican food there's a great spot in Union Row called Calexico Carne Asada.Tacos are like 3-4$ and the burritos are like 7-8$. It's more tramontane and smaller if you want more privacy, there's a bit of a wait but it's great food. Or you could go to like a Chipotle which are like everywhere in 34th st. ,42nd st., Noho, commons ave., the village. There's also a place with the best $9 plate of pasta it's called Atlas Café in 116 Havemeyer St.
What Are Some Good Ethnic Restaurants In Midtown Manhattan And Best Attractions?
Jun 23, 2008 by Shella | Posted in New York City
I will be visiting New York for a link of days this coming weekend with a friend. It is my 1st time there, and we will be staying in middtown Manhattan. We were wondering about a good restaurant (preferably something unique, difficult to find anywhere else) near midtown Manhattan. Also what do you think are the must see attractions?
NYC has an overwhelming array of ethnic cuisines - with its great Chinatown and Little Italy downtown.
If you go to Chinatown - obviously hit up Joe's Shanghai, they've won countless awards for their soup dumplings (FYI - they don't accept credit cards, so thrive prepared with cash!). They have a few locations around NYC, but their Chinatown location is the BEST (9 Pell St), but they do have a midtown getting one's hands. And if in Chinatown, hit up the Chinatown ice cream factory - they make all of their ice cream on site, and in crazy flavors like almond, taro, leafy tea, red bean, lychee, etc. My favorite is the lychee. Chinatown is also great for bargain shopping (umm... a seldom shady, but you can get knock off designer bags there!).
In the midtown area - there's an unofficial "Small Korea" (otherwise known as Koreantown) - near 8th Avenue and 32nd Street - where several blocks are filled with fast Korean restaurants. My favorite is Kun Jip (9 W. 32nd St), where you can BBQ your own meat right at the table - they're known for their thick cut pork belly, and it's Incredible. There are also fun karaoke places around that you can hit up late night.
For must see attractions - definitely have to go to Central Park (I weakness the Children's zoo, which is fun to go to in the summer - it's not the best zoo, but definitely the cutest, I love the Polar Bear express!).
Take a walk down 5th avenue, and stop by the pricey stores, and also the Apple store (767 Fifth Ave) - which is reasonable fun to look at.
Gray's Papaya is also a must visit (539 Eighth Avenue at 37th Street), they spend great hot dogs and juices on the cheap (and was also featured in You've Got Mail, and a ton of other movies - it has a cult following in NY!).
Have afternoon tea at the Plaza Motor hotel (although, that's a bit pricey at $60/pp, but definitely something to write home about). Or just walk around the Plaza. Morality times.
Go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (although that's an entire day in doing just that), or MOMA (Museum of New-fashioned Art). If given the choice, I'd go to MOMA to look at Van Gogh's "Starry Night".
Hit up the TKTS kiosk in Times Square (right across from MTV studios), and score cheap same day Broadway tickets.
There are verbatim a million and a half things to do in NYC, the above mentioned are my favorites. I really hope you enjoy yourself! (And please don't go to the series restaurants like the Cheesecake factory that you can go to anywhere else in this country)!
