How Much Do Servers In Manhattan Make Per Night In Tips?

I'm unstationary from South Carolina to NYC and will probably have to get a server job to start out. How much can you make in a nice restaurant in Manhattan per night??? I understand the economy is bad right now and just want to know what I can expect. Thank you so much :)

I worked in the burg and on a bad night made $150. I usually made between $300-500 a night. Anyone who says $50 a night wasn't working a fine dinning restaurant. Get genial to hear "South Cack-a-lacky" alot, I did.

Is It Safe To Walk Across Brooklyn Bridge Back To Manhattan At Night?

If I survey Brooklyn, had dinner at Grimaldi's and have a drink at Galapagos Art Space. Should I take subway right back to Manhattan? If I conduct across the bridge for night view, will it be safe?

Only if you're heavily armed!

Fooling, though, I don't think it's the best idea for a single woman to walk across there all alone late at night, but, if you take a friend with you, go for it, it's a accurately great view that you'll remember for a lifetime (see link, below)!

On the other hand, bear in mind, it's a looong protest! I mean, just the bridge part isn't that long, but when you include walking to the bridge from the restaurant, and then the extended ramp part that leads up to the bridge, and then the long ramp to get down off the bridge on the other side, it's probably about a mile or two, and if you've reasonable had a nice dinner and drinks, well, a two-mile walk might not be what you want to do after all. I'm just saying...

I be delayed tables and am moving to Manhattan soon. I was looking to get a job at a TGI Fridays and I was curious as to how much in tips servers who business at Fridays in Manhattan make a night and on which nights. If you know how much they make at other restaurants in Manhattan that's okay too. Thanks.

Which eatery standing has the best night view of Manhattan at SSS? I am looking for a not too expensive, up to about $50 per person type of place. Also, for hedging, please tell me which particular seat (or side) of the restaurant is the best. Thank you!!

the foodstuffs court has the best view--and you can eat whatever you want and the $$ is very reasonable--no reservations needed

Wheres A Safe Free Place To Park Your Car At For The Night Near Manhattan?

For a month lol I'm ruffin it sleeping in my car so I can bail someone out some money. Anywhere within an hours commute by bus and train to manhattan.

Well, I about you're nuts to spend a month sleeping in your car like that. You'll probably get rousted a lot and might even get arrested, too, if the same cop rousts you more than once, but, if you're definite to do it, I'd suggest going out to the little towns all along Route 4 in northern New Jersey just on the other side of the George Washington Connect.

They're quiet little towns with not much traffic and you could probably park out behind a supermarket or behind a local upon without attracting any attention. Plus there's big malls and universities out there with big parking lots and, because they're small suburban towns, they're protected and the cops are not on the lookout for that sort of thing like they would be in New York City.
